"Beautiful hotel nestled in the forest near the Nanstein castle ruins. There are walkways all around. The restaurant has limited hours as does the front desk. The room had the typical German amenities and decoration. I stayed in a single room so I wasn't expecting much room. The staff was friendly."

"The hotel was built in the 1960’s and appears to be mostly original, very mid-century. Everything was very clean. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and included eggs, pancakes and bacon made to order. The location was great for us as it was walking distance to everything, including the train station. "Great place to stay while visiting our son stationed nearby. The breakfast buffet was always well-stocked and had a good variety of food for all tastes. The cappuccino machine was the best! The front desk was able to lend us a variety of items - outlet adapters, charging cords, etc… The only problem we encountered was being unable to get the temperature in our room low enough to sleep. We kept the window open, but had no way to get the cool air inside. Other than that, we highly recommend! Pets...
