"Lived up to everything we needed. Shopping within walking distance. We were there on New Years, so a reliable restaurant was a must. Everything was clean. We were 3 adults so the room was a little crowded by North American standards, but by my limited Japan experience, it was probably pretty good "

"This is the second time I have stayed here visiting family. Overall nice property but there was an issue with guests from Mainland China. They were loud, drunk, rude, and made thenstay less enjoyable. This hotel should review it's travel partners and better vet the groups coming in. The area is good but too many Gaijin tourists who are ruining Kyoto with there boorish behavior. I feel sorry for the locals."
