Needs attention
The villa is a nice property with good size rooms and a nice pool however it is in need of investment/updating throughout. The kitchen is in poor condition which is definitely not reflected in the listing photos. Likewise the shower/bathroom and the general fabric of the property including furnishings and curtains need renewal and update. There was only one parasol outside which was not enough and the pool furniture/cushions etc were not in good/clean condition. Overall a bit overpriced for the quality offered

Great outdoors, very tired indoors
We arrived very late at night and first impressions were awful. The house was incredibly hot with no air con on. It took a good hour to get the rooms to a usable temperature. (Which was 3am by this time) When we look around the house, it smelt musty and unloved in all rooms. Here was our initial summary: * No welcome pack, milk, bread, water etc just basics would have been nice based on flight times * And then there are no basics such as salt / pepper, sugar, oil, tea, coffee, coffee machine, washing up liquid, any cleaning materials * Cooker doesn't work at all and no means of lighting gas hob * No tea towel * No dishcloths or cleaning materials * No coffee machine as per description - there was a tiny cafetière but the mesh was missing so it was useless * No air con control in twin room * Pillows in top bedroom are very yellow and smell too - They are all in need of replacement throughout the property. * Toilet water feed could not be turned off in top bathroom and just ran all night * Poor standard of kitchen in general wear & tear cupboards etc. drawers drop when you open them. * No teaspoons Plus MANY more small but very noticeable issues. The local agent did react VERY fast when we let them know and sorted some of the lights and replaced the toilet washer. We still had no oven, microwave, ripped curtains and smelly pillows. And despite all of this, we STILL had a great holiday as Kalkan is amazing and the people are lovely. But it isn't a luxury property.
