This hotel is in serious need of some TLC. The bedroom (No5) was bordering on being a bit dirty with cobwebs everywhere and the bathroom was cold, damp, moldy with the toilet seat hanging off as was the toilet roll holder. The TV didn't work, and one of the tea cups didn't appear to have been washed properly. All simple things that could have been fixed and improved the room so much. The food (including the breakfast) was average - certainly nothing I couldn't have done better my self. The girl behind the bar was friendly but that is about the only good thing I have to say - I would not stay again.

Great budget pub, good food and immaculately clean
A very friendly pub with good pub food with plenty of choice. The pub was immaculately clean, the room was adequate but small. At the price it was hard to beat with one of the best breakfasts we have had anywhere with very fresh local produce. The whole stay was enjoyable and very competitively priced.

Fair price and service for a stroll in Kenilworth.
It's a basic room on top of a Pub with hot drink amenities. It's a fair match of price and simplicity. Surprisingly not noisy. Perfect location to stroll around Kenilworth Castle, St. Mary Abbey ruins and massive recreational open spaces. Service is friendly and breakfast was nice. We came by bus and was easy to find our way. If you arrive after 8 pm you'd better plan ahead to sort yourself out with dinner as kitchen was closed and Uber eats was not available in the area.

Staff friendly and food good.

The staff were welcoming and the price was good for the stay but the wrong information was given to us on check in so nearly never got any breakfast. The television in the room didn’t work as no signal and the bed was really too soft.
A great little pub with excellent service. Choice of food is excellent and at sensible prices. Rooms are clean and comfortable, perfect for an overnight stay. Breakfast is exceptional!
Friendly people, rather quirky room. Convenient for us. Hot water in sink on and off. Smoke alarm beeping all night on the first night as they were upgrading their fire system. Good cooked breakfast and the meals in the pub were reasonable. They allowed us to stay in the pub after checkout time until we were picked up.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast was amazing. The rooms were small but very affordable. The location is great for Coventy, Warwick and Warwick University. Kenilworth is lovely and has a fabulous castle.
The bedrooms were very poor state of affairs, with a lack of work on them for a long time. Very poor condition, cramped conditions and poor basic hygiene standards.
The beds were very low grade with mattresses so soft you almost end up on the floor when they sag.

Cheap enough
The Cottage Inn is within walking distance of the town and we chose to stay here for the Kenilworth Castle fireworks .
The pub is dated but clean and has several event nights ie quiz , bands and a karaoke on the first sat of the month.
We stayed in Room 1 which was small with the double bed pushed against the wall. The shower was in the corner of the room behind bi fold Louvre doors . Bizarrely the room had 2 TVs .Too much furniture made the room cluttered .
Breakfast was homely and cooked by a lovely lady .
