I’ve stayed here a few times. It’s a unique experience and nice if you’re planning to explore Old Sacramento or go to a Comedy Show like we were doing. I believe I was able to check in early last time I came, but this time around they were strict on the 4pm check in time (not a fan of a late check in like that). Also, be prepared to drop $30 on overnight parking. The rooms are small - nothing special. We stayed on the city side by the stairs, and I will say, it was loud until about 11pm with people walking up and down and talking loudly. There were a lot of sounds early in the morning like 2-3am, we heard some lady screaming (could have been a displaced person, which there are some around that area) and cars screeching around. All in all, it’s more convenient than anything and like I said, a unique stay, but will probably consider another spot next time we visit.

Good price, friendly staff, extremely clean (lots of cleaning agent smell in my room but it faded) and in a safe location.
