The restaurant definitely holds a special place in our hearts as the food was extremely tasty and my wife and I very much look forward to our next visit! "Doc's cabin was awesome! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary even though it was way too much house for just 2. A great price and it had everything we were looking for. A cabin with privacy, a fire pit and a hot tub, yet had modern conveniences such as appliances, tv and internet as well as being close enough to a quaint town in case we wanted to explore! So many interesting and fun things to do! My husband's favorite part was the view. We saw deer from the living room and kitchen windows in the mornings! My favorite thing was the easy to use gas fireplace in the living room! Another fireplace downstairs appeared to be able to burn wood. The furniture was very cozy with plenty of space for games, eating, etc. There were so many historic and antique things to look at within the house! A history of the previous owner was included in a binder so thoughtfully prepared with food and recreational suggestions. We only needed to bring food, clothes and ourselves! Stores and restaurants were nearby and the furthest we needed to go was less than 15 minutes away. I would suggest Fast Eddie's for Italian dinners for delivery. We loved this house so much we would like to plan a family trip to stay here again! Thank you so much to the hosts! We hope to visit again soon!"

"As a family that lives in different parts of the US, it was nice to find a central location to meet and spend a weekend together at. The house was huge, with lots of living room space. The bedrooms were great in size too. The bathrooms were nice too. Something that we didn't expect to enjoy, there are no TVs. The ability to disconnect and enjoy our time together without the distraction of TV was super nice. This is a GREAT home to consider if you're looking for a retreat space. But if you're looking to have a family movie night, there is reliable wifi, so a projector and speakers allowed us to enjoy that. We couldn't use the pool because of the weather, but we enjoyed sitting out and making smores on the little fire pit out there. The location was perfect. It was quiet. The stars are visible; we did a bit of star gazing. We will consider returning for future family gatherings. "

"Our family enjoyed a beautiful stay at Brenda's Artistic Retreat! This was by far the cleanest property we have ever experienced. The kitchen was a dream and wonderful for making a homecooked meal for our Kenyon student, The beds were truly comfortable, the spacious shower was fantastic, and we all wanted to bring the couches home with us. :) There was a gorgeous view of the lake from the deck-the perfect place for morning coffee. Thank you for a relaxing and worry-free weekend!"
