Big Coppitt Key Hotels, Key West

"Room was so well appointed. Extremely clean, large bathroom. Comfortable balcony. We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a great view of the restaurant/pool/ marina. The pools were beautiful, elegant & well maintained. The marina was beautiful too, however the weather was not cooperating, so we didn’t use it. The transportation to/from Duval street was very reliable & comfortable. "

"The photos are amazing but the property is much older and smaller than it looks. Check in was very rude and our 1 key did not unlock our door. They were going to bring a new key, but that never happened. Rooms are smaller, no coffee machines, no microwave, no ice for human consumption, parking is difficult for a midsize or larger vehicles. The breakfast was terrible. For the cost we paid plus double fees,, we could have stayed downtown for less."

"Elevator was down and we had to change rooms. Our room “with a view” wasn’t. Room was acceptably clean with plenty of linen. Not sure that the WiFi was free"

"The hotel has 2 properties 6 blocks apart, one has front desk, the other doesn't. So, we had to walk for 6 blocks after checked in. Fortunately, it was not raining. I found out after I left the hotel that the front desk personnal did not give back my license. Usually, hotels return your ID even before giving you the room key. He did not. Not only that, they did not bother to inform me during the 2 day stay or during check out. I found out my license was missing only after I got on a cruise. Imagine if that was the only ID I had. I could have missed the cruise. Fortunately, I had my passport. After the cruise I went to the hotel to stay there for another 3 days (premade reservation) and asked for my license. He showed me like 50-60 licenses people left behind. I knew he wanted me to feel better, but exposed a pattern of wrong practice on their part. I wonder how many people lost their flight or cruise because they completely failed to do the common curtesy of informing you that they forgot to give back your ID? That is a huge neglegence of the staff. Other than that, hotel is clean and has a good location."

"Beautiful oceanfront property with amazing views. The room was clean, staff was welcoming, and the atmosphere felt peaceful and relaxing. Perfect place to enjoy the natural beauty of Key West. I loved capturing the scenery and tropical surroundings during my stay."
