This studio condo sleeps 4 with queen sleeper sofa and Murphy bed. It is located nearly equal distance from River Run Village and the Mountain House Base Area. You have all the essentials needed for a stay away from home and the contemporary decor lends an open feel. Enjoy the added luxury of air conditioning during the summer. Walk to nearby shops and restaurants. Gateway Mountain Lodge features shared amenities, including an indoor pool and hot tub.

The contemporary decor lends to the open feel and there is a unique tongue and groove ceiling, modern sofa and carpet tile flooring. The flat screen TV is across from the sofa. There is a two-person seating area next to the windows that offer beautiful mountain views. The queen-sized sleeper sofa and Murphy bed offer sleeping arrangements for four. Additional sheets and blankets are in a closet. The kitchenette is stocked with all the essentials to eat a meal away from home as well as small refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and hot plate. The full bathroom has a single sink vanity and a shower/tub combination.

We completely knew we were getting a studio apartment. We were going for the mountain and slopes. What we did not except is not to have a clean place. The couch had stains all over it, not a place we wanted to sit let along lay down. There were no pillow cases and one of the pillows had a red paint all over it. The fridge situation was odd and not expressed in the details. One full size fridge, bottom did not and the mini fridge would not keep cool.

The facilities were very nice, well kept, and easy to get to. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Negatives and they are minor. Wall clock - no battery so clock was only correct twice a day. Why have one? A/C was unplugged when we arrived and took us a few minutes to realize why we could not get the fan to turn on. Even with fan on auto which generally means on as needed it ran constantly. We also unplugged it when we left. All minor though.

I expected it to be small and minimalist, but it just felt kind of worn down and in need of some basic updates: Hard concrete floors with coarse carpeting, broken shutters, plugged drain, couch was uncomfortable and stained, etc. Communication and service were good - but I will look more closely before staying there again.

Location and a helpful property management staff made this property a great value. You are an easy walk to river run and great eating options in the same building. The bed was super comfortable, a perfect place for two. Great place to stay when picking up some late season skiing.

We thought it was a nice location since it was close to the lifts. We were a little bummed about the stains on the carpet and furniture; we weren’t able to see those in the pictures online. I’m sure the cleaning people do a great job, but seeing stains makes it feel unclean. The bed made some loud noises anytime we moved but it was pretty comfortable!

Great location, small hotel room
The location was amazing and for 2 people the room was spacious! When we got there we were expecting a condo as that’s what the listing said but it was more of a hotel room. There was a small hot plate instead of a stove and it couldn’t be plugged it at the same time as anything else. The sink was small, barely the size of one pan, and the dishes were dirty when we got there. Having a covered parking spot was wonderful and overall our stay was great!

The furniture in the condo was very bad quality. The ikea tv stand was not sturdy for the large tv on top of book shelve. The bed was not comfortable. The pull out couch was ridiculous. Appeared to be salvaged furniture from the street side garbage day. The heating system had no good medium only to hot or cold. The main positive was just location and view out the window. Very nice coffee shop below.

Location is great
The location of the unit was great. The cleanliness was lacking. The sofa bed and chair had several stains on them which made the thought of sleeping on it uninviting. The front door did not have a bolt on the inside, although from the outside it appeared to have one. The description said there was a hot plate but there was not one. The checkout process asked to put items in the dishwasher but there was not one. The shower was great but the lighting in the bathroom was very dark.

Very nice location and nice building. Regarding unit, maintenance needed - sink spigot, shower and fridge. Too much prior tenant stuff (fans, etc.) in unit. Given size of unit, more effficient cupboards, storage, etc needed. Hot tub could be upgraded along with gas grill. Bathroom fan needs replacing.

Short weekend in Keystone
The location of the property could not be better, it is right across the street from the river run parking lot. The condo is small and quaint but still big enough to not be cramped. The most confusing part of checking in was just finding out where to park (they have a great underground parking garage) if that was explained better the stay would have been perfect.

This was a nice spot but it was really hard to find, the room was not ready as stated, there was no ac although there were a fan stand fans, the Listing said it provided pots and pans but didn’t say it was a portable stove which was hard to use, the “kitchen” was basically 2 arms length where the sink was, I would t recommend cooking in there although there is a crockpot which you use for cooking all day. The room was hot, the tv took about an hour to figure out and really we could only get one channel. My only fav of this place is the hot tub which was easily accessible to our room and the location. The cleaning crew and the help desk really seemed to try their best. I’m glad they gave us an hour late check out for the timing delay in getting the room ready.

Great location and value but needs work
Spacious unit walking distance to Keystone Village. The unit and amenities have the feeling of an aging Motel 6. Very basic amenities. For instance, sheets were threadbare and toilet paper was like thin sandpaper. The unit could definitely use some maintenance and upgrading but I guess is good value for the location. Communication with property management isn't great. We had trouble with the entry code on multiple occasions and had to search for someone to let us in. There are no operating instructions for the three different TV remotes and we never did access the HBO which was supposedly available. The outlet next to the coffee maker didn't work so we had to put it on the floor to make coffee. You are directed to the online guest guide for information but that guide is apparently generic for all of their many properties but it didn't necessarily address the specific unit. For instance, the guide references a dishwasher that doesn't exist. I found it particularly annoying that they charge a cleaning fee for a basic motel room and then tell you to empty the garbage cans and wash the dishes. For the same cost as this room I could have stayed at a full service local motel.

Very Underwhelming
The property was difficult to find and while we got check-in instructions we still struggled with figuring out how to get in to the building. Once inside, it was even more disappointing. Everything was very worn and dated. There was hair all over in the bathroom. There was a fridge inside that said it didn't work but was just there for the freezer. The TV kept turning itself onto Fox News while we were trying to watch it. The clock didn't work, everything had to be plugged-in in order for it to work. They also requested that you take out your own trash with no instruction on how to do so. I understand we were there in their off season but it was clear that they didn't care about the property.
