Killington Resort is a mountain retreat for all seasons and all ages. Discover snow-based sports, nature trails, an alpine roller coaster, a scenic gondola ride and a lively après-ski atmosphere. The resort spreads across seven mountain areas, which collectively form part of New England’s Green Mountains. Whether visiting in summer or winter, enjoy the breathtaking views of tall peaks and alpine meadows.
From November to April the resort attracts skiers to its 1,509 acres (610 hectares) of skiable terrain. The impressive 155 trails are served by 22 modern lifts, which include two high-speed gondolas. Find a range of easy slopes, challenging moguls, double black diamonds, gladed skiing areas and perfectly groomed runs.
For freeskiing and snowboarding, come to the five terrain parks, featuring boxes, jumps and rails. Bear Mountain’s halfpipe has 18-foot-high (5.5-metre) walls. Winter offers lots to do in addition to downhill skiing and boarding. Go cross-country skiing and ice skating. Join a snowmobile or snowshoe tour, ride in a snowcat-drawn sleigh or pedal a fat-tyre bike through the snow. Have exhilarating family fun at the tubing park.
After the snow melts, a vast network of 36 mountain biking and 10 hiking trails open for outdoor enjoyment. Play 18 holes at the championship golf course and try a game of disc golf. Traverse the dramatic mountain landscapes via all-terrain vehicles and Segway tours. Enjoy a thrilling ride on a twisting mountain roller coaster.
Take a more relaxing ride in the scenic gondola to the summit of 4,241-foot-tall (1,293-metre) Killington Peak. This activity is available year-round and presents unrivaled views and access to hiking trails. When it’s time for a break, visit the resort’s many drinking and dining options. Choose between easygoing cafés, a sports bar, a steakhouse and fine dining restaurants.
The resort sits at the southern edge of Killington, in the state of Vermont. A low-cost public bus operates between the mountain base area and nearby Rutland.
