"I can honestly say I've never stayed in a cabin without a restroom or electricity and I heated it with the wood they provided which was very funlight were propane lights, lit with a match. However the drive up and down the Mt. Was at the least, not for the faint of heart...very rough on my car."

"This is a charming property, and the owners were extremely communicative and helpful! It is relatively close to Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Parks at a great price point. The living room, dining room and bedroom are very comfortable. It is a 100 year old cabin, and the clawfoot tub and kitchen show their age. That being said, I found this to be a very comfortable stay, and the owners have thought of everything to provide a rich experience for guests who stay here ... from basic kitchen...

"My husband and I enjoyed three days at this wonderful location. Even in late September the river still had enough water running to enjoy soothing sounds, lots of birds and lovely evening cocktails on the deck overlooking it all. The home was so very well appointed, every detail was perfect. We hope to return in the future."

"Sandy the caretaker was lovely and did a good job, going out of her way to place fresh flowers and write directions to the park entrance. It has a very nice view and is quiet and remote. Furniture is quality and comfortable. But cats took over the porch, there was no heat, no cell reception, and the well could run out of water at anytime. Be ready for remote living."

It's technically inside Kings Canyon Park, which saved us a lot of driving time each day. We wish we could have stayed there longer! The cabin has so much character and charm. "The steps outside could use some repairs but overall room was comfortable and just on a beautiful mountain. Be aware roads are very windy and narrow to get up there and stop for food before you do. Was great for late night star gazing. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. He lead a couple nights of star gazing and pointed out the Atlas Comet, several satellites and planets. He took a map out for us for Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon and pointed out all the most sees....
