"I didn’t realise the Encore had no lift until we were allocated a room on the second floor and had to climb stairs. We made do the first night as we had a late flight and the office was closed. The staff were extremely accommodating the next day and didn’t hesitate to move us to a room on the ground floor as my husband has mobility issues. I would definitely stay there again. "

"Tucked away in a quiet, desirable suburb, this hotel offers a peaceful stay just 6km from the CBD. It’s a great option if you have a car, though it’s slightly removed from the action without one. Dining options by the lake are conveniently close by, adding to the appeal. The room was impeccably clean and thoughtfully equipped. A heads-up for future guests - watch your step entering the bathroom due to a slight floor-level change or stubbed toes guaranteed, and be prepared for a bit of water to escape the shower area. Minor quirks, but nothing that detracted from our experience. We were initially disappointed about the lack of secure parking, which was mentioned during booking, but found a free and convenient spot just a two-minute walk away, perfectly suitable for an overnight stay. All in all, we’d happily recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again. "
