Beautiful setting. I was a bit confused about advertised lake who is actually not on the property and holds little for guests. Pool area was wonderful very quiet with trees and birds. Heinz was most helpful in sugges outings and arranging driver. A few niggles: Breakfasts like all in Sri Lanka could use some tweaking with toast presented first to go cold and items not offered but available such as tomatoes or bacon: readily provided when requested. Spider life is rampant so staff could pay more attention to cleaning webs on pool furniture and pot plants. Overall a beautiful property lovely staff and a wonderful stay

Friendly service and great souvenir

Great sized pool on the beach but you need to walk along from there to public beach and beyond as you cannot swim from hotel beach as it is coral. Limited options to dine outside of hotel as pubs and restaurants few and far between Transport on leaving hotel difficult to arrange though tuk tuk drivers outside hotel really helpful with this

We arrived at the hotel late at night, but was greeted with a great surprise that our room was upgraded to a corner suite! (as other rooms were fully booked on that day) The view from the room was fantastic with river, pools, sea views on the both sides. Also there were Dilmar tea prepared in the room which we enjoyed so much during our stay! The highlight for me was the breakfast - the restaurant was so beautiful, and the food was amazing with lots of Sri Lankan and other food options! Very accessible to the peaceful beach and we enjoyed the sunset on the beach bed too. I would really love to stay longer in this resort, so would definitely be back soon!

Welcome was good. Room was good. Staff a bit slow as per most of the Cinnamon hotels we have visited. Pool area was nice. Such a shame about the beach. Plastic and glass all the way along the beach, which ever way you turned. We didn't venture onto the sea because of this. Buffet was a bit limited and as per usual, the western food wasn't that great. We did find a good bar on the beach called Fernando's and a good restaurant called Cafe on the 18th. Great salads and other dishes. Service was really good and friendly at both.
