Entertainers delight country retreat in Kirwans Bridge an hour and a half from Melbourne, 10 minutes (5km North) from Nagambie town and only 200 metres from the Goulburn river backwater. Kirwans Bridge is a small community known for its historic heritage listed longest timber bridge in Victoria with a unique bend connecting both sides of the KB area across the Goulburn river!

Enter through the #19 remote control blue gates down the driveway through stunning gardens with plenty of parking space. A delightful fully renovated double storey unique mud brick home with all that you need to truly enjoy what a country retreat provides.

With a mix of all that country meets modern indoors and out. Enter from the extensive outdoor entertaining area or the secured key less door entering in to the kitchen French style with a 3metre Long Island bench, quality appliances, ample space to entertain or sit around if you choose indoors.

Inside and out the timber old bridge beams, expansive high timber cathedral ceilings, led light pops you enter the bedroom hallway with 4 spacious Queen size bedrooms with all of the comforts to rest at the end of the day. Sofa bed (double) for extras upstairs in the loft if needed.

The master bedroom has an ensuite and walk in robe with its own smart TV. There are 2 other bedrooms which have robes and additional hanging space.

Enter from the living area is the main bathroom with large shower, large freestanding bath, and vanity. A separate powder room and equipped laundry accessing to the outside clothes line & gardens.

With 3 living zones including a loft of 2 additional spaces opening to a decked balcony overlooking the gum trees & country side. With a gorgeous large modern kitchen and quality appliances (Falcon, Miele) that leads out to the large undercover outdoor living space surrounded by an acre of gum trees and lush gardens.

Enjoy a BBQ and a spa in the fabulous outdoor undercover entertaining alfresco space. Fully decked out with drinks fridge, lounge seating, 8 seat dining, 4 seat bar, large spa, outdoor entertainment SONOS system with retractable TV, fans, outdoor fireplace, electric heater and return verandas area under an expansive roof with a standout chandelier! All fitted with custom made retractable blinds for all types of weather!

Watch the bird life and enjoy the sunset among the many areas throughout the property’s tranquil fully landscaped gardens. Stay at home, watch a movie, in front of a fire, if outside hang around the firepit toast marshmallows or have a dip in the spa.

Have a spa ourdoors, a bath in the freestanding bath, or shower in either bathroom after your day out and about. Enjoy the stroll short to the historic timber Kirwans Bridge and view the wildlife, the water lovers on the water, or the stars & sunsets like no other; all on the Goulburn river backwater the home of families of swans, brolga and marine life.

A quick drive to enjoy the best the area has to offer, the Nagambie lake, walk around to explore, go fishing, have a ski, a row, a JetSki or a paddle board. In town the Nagambie distillery & brewery, the many eateries, pubs and restaurants and cafes. A quick drive or by the stunning Goulburn river by boat you can enter the famous Tahbilk & Mitchelton wineries, Nagambie lake & township.

Making Memories
We had a fantastic stay at this country retreat. From the moment we booked Chez was a gracious and attentive host, providing everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The property itself was beautifully presented with four big queen rooms, open fires, an amazing outdoor entertaining area and large central bench style kitchen. We had plenty to do, it’s a short walk to the old closed Kirwan Bridge where we watched the sunset with a picnic & bottle of champagne. The stunning Michelson winery is a 15 min drive where we enjoyed wine tasting and a delicious lunch. Nagambie is 10 mins, it has plenty of options like the brewery or grabbing a coffee from one of the many cafes and going for a walk around the lake. Highly recommend this stay, we will be back next year.

Great weekend away with family and friends.
Thank you for a wonderful time away with friends and family. Check in was a breeze, the house was clean and so welcoming and we all had such a fantastic stay. There were plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy (spa was a huge hit) and we loved sitting by the cosy fire at night. Chezy the host was a delight, easy to communicate with and also gave us lots of recommendations on local attractions and great eateries. Highly recommend :)

Delightful Getaway Stay
Our group of friends all agreed that this was a charming 5 star property, well above the average style rental house. Every room was pleasantly presented with lots of comfort and modern convenient amenities. The extensive clean kitchen provided everything you needed for food preparation. The outside/inside area at the rear was amazing with a huge BBQ, fridge, swivel TV, lounge seating and a really good sized meal table, just ideal for a large group or family. The garden and surrounds were delightful, well maintained and really set the atmosphere for an enjoyable stay. Not having direct access to Nagambie and surrounds via the closed Kirwans Bridge wasn't a big drawback. The peace and quiet of the area was very relaxing. We would highly recommend this accommodation to everyone.

Lovely property with everything you need to enjoy it in both summer and winter. It was very hot when we were there so the bedrooms were a little hot but otherwise I couldn’t fault the place. Hosts were lovely, easy to deal with and communicated well re key collection etc. would definitely recommend and would stay again.
