"Visited off season the hotel was very quiet and the main pool was closed for refurbishment. If I had known I would have cancelled my booking. The check in staff focused on my wife giving her all the info and the bill, which I thought was odd but not a deal breaker. "This hotel has amazing potential and was probably once quite grand. The facilites are tired and in need of maintenance and updates. We were there out of season so it was very quiet and the staff seemed a little challenged in knowing what to do. The beach is great and the grounds are super. "This was the WORST hotel experience we've ever had. 1) The beds do not have any foam so basically you lie on a piece of wooden board. Literally. We actually checked. It's the most uncomfortable surface (including couches and floor) that I've slept on. Apparently all rooms have the same type of bed fyi.
