"My husband and I were taking a short vacation to Long Beach WA and I found the Chautauqua Resort for our stay. When we opened up the door to our room on the 3rd floor, my husband was very excited to see what all the room featured. We were pleased to see a dining table and chairs so we could play cards at night. The bed was extremely comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was larger than normal and the shower water was hot. The exhaust fan was to be used to keep the room cool and no hot steam to escape the bathroom. The full breakfast had quite a variety and was delicious. The front desk help was friendly and very accommodating. We used the hot tub twice and saw there was also a sauna but we didn’t use it. The pool was slightly heated and extremely clean. I was very impressed. Chautauqua Resort was conveniently located and we also drove about 10 miles on the beach (it is a Washington highway) and back. We decided that we will return again next year."

"The location of this property is convenient to the beach. Also it about a 10 minute walk to shopping. There is a restaurant, coffee shop and distillery on-site. All staff we encountered were kind and helpful. The room we had was clean, and stocked. Our room was considered a partial beach view, queen with the padded bench under the window. The padded bench was a great touch to sit and watch the surf. The bed was the perfect balance between firm and soft. The shower was a tub with the shower head placed high with nice pressure. Our room was decorated in an eclectic fashion, clean with a mini frig. There were bath robes for use. We did visit the distillery, distillery and coffee shop, with no complaints. Some items that were on my wish listed that I missed....... coffee pot and microwave in the room. I'm thinking the attached coffee shop and restaurant was the reason these items were not in the room. There was a microwave by the ice machine on each floor you have to share with everyone in the hotel. I'm a stickler for a coffee pot and microwave in the room. The other odd thing was ear plugs on the night stands. Never experienced that before. We were on the third floor. The noise in the hallway was not really any different than any other hotel. We did discover the floors are a little thin. But, it is an older building. Overall we will revisit this location. "

"We stayed above the pool house/spa the room was clean and comfortable, the complimentary toiletries were great. The only issue we had was you could hear the neighbors every move, maybe it was the wood floors or maybe they were just loud? "

"This is probably one of the best coastal hotels in Washington, even though it doesn't have an oceanview. The historical look alone gives you some of an ambience and despite being next to the road, I remember it being quiet. Once you're settled in your room, you easily forget that you're near the road, because the historical serenity will pick you right up. It also has gardens outside to make it look welcoming. It is within walking distance from the ocean and you get access to the saltwater pool at their sister property, Adrift. I've stayed in two properties with this association, including Shelburne in Seaview and Bowline in Astoria. There are a few small improvements that could be made. It would be nice if they served breakfast. There is a restaurant downstairs and it's a very nice setting, but to my knowledge, they only do lunch and dinner."
