"While on my trip to Thailand I booked this hotel. After my day trip to Phi Phi Island, the excursion company dropped me off at a dock situation. In the poring rain and dark I was all alone going to this hotel. A little wet nasty tug boat took me on a 10 min ride to the other side where a pick up truck arrived from the hotel to get me. "direct at the beach, appartements OK, not more, breakfast not international standard, thai personell was the best during our stay, management with owner not customer friendly, very special mail-communication with management before arrival, very poor location in khao lak, Very large distance to vacation infrastructure for tourists, too far for tourists concerning daily trips and other sightseeing events, definitely NOT to RECOMMEND"

"All depends on what you are looking for. This resort has most of the needed facilities to be classified 4 or even 5 stars if things were working properly. The hotel has obviously cut down on all expenses and run things with a strict budget. it is a huge property with very nice bungalows and rooms (didn't visit rooms). 3 connecting pools and one separate. no lights in the pools unfortunately, which is more fun for night swims, but still, you can swim anytime without time restriction. "While the pool area has not been updated, the hotel in its entirety was fabulous! It felt as though I was the only person there and was truly a wonderful escape from most of the tourist hustle and bustle. I had the entire beach to myself and enjoyed undisturbed time with a book and the sound of the waves. If you want to escape the tourism of Thailand, Tacola is the place to go!"
