"Overall a disappointing experience. The spa was very nice, but the restaurant dinner buffet had lukewarm food for a relatively expensive price in Hungary. The breakfast buffet was also lukewarm. After breakfast and before checkout time we returned to our room to find our keycards didn't work anymore. Eventually they reactivated them so we could get back in our room to collect our stuff. At checkout the staff were adamant I hadn't paid via Hotels.com even though I thought I had, and they swiftly prepared my invoice and gave me the payment terminal. While I was paying I was checking my Hotels.com emails and bank account, and only after the payment had gone through I found that I had indeed already paid via Hotels.com. The staff were fortunately able to reverse the transaction, but offered no apology for the mistake. We wouldn't stay here again."

"Very good hotel close to the old city center, not far from the railway station. This hotel has a pleasant style, it is located in the old building yet with a modern look, nice furniture, clean bathroom, good breakfast."

"Although the property is older, it is definitely well taken care of. Close to the older part of town and less than a ten minute walk from the train station you can't go wrong staying here. I will say it was one of the smallest beds I've ever slept on. One other cool note, the Pope stayed here once! "

We treated ourselves to a suite for my partner's birthday and it was fabulous - really spacious and modern. Staff (particulraly the lady on reception!) were lovely and couldnt do enought to help. Gyor is a charming city and this hotel a great place to stay."
