"Great stay at Davids apartment. It is a single large room with 2 single beds, a kettle, toaster, fridge and two ring hob. A good size bathroom and really warm and cozy! Perfect location for both the main ski slopes and a short walk down the hill to the gondola. (Not sure if this helps, but I used ski strap/carrier for the walk down and back up at the end of the day and I found that made lugging skis a lot less hassle! ). Hoping to be back again next year!"

"A really well presented chalet on 3 floors, with a spacious kitchen/diner/lounge on the top floor, with good views of the Rila mountain and the slopes. Comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen, an open fire, a bar, a beer fridge, everything for the perfect ski trip! We'd love to come back again. The complex also has a decent pool, a sauna and a good restaurant. There's a courtesy bus into the resort which runs anout every 40 minutes. Loads of parking."

This was an ideal base for Snowboarding away from the noise of Borovets. The reception team can organise shuttles to and from Borovets at a very very reasonable rate but these must be booked beforehand and end at @17.00 hrs. Would definitely recommend this as a base !"

"We arrived late on Saturday night (we had a hire car) and was met by Mimi and Carmen who gave us a quick tour and showed us how things worked. The house was pretty easy to find. We were 6 adults (3 couples) so there was plenty of space. It was pretty cold over New Year but fire in the kitchen was more than sufficient to keep the house warm, and provide hot water for us all. "Breakfast buffet was always empty, everything run out and they wouldn't refill, things like bacon-bread-eggs-fruit. Even when you asked if they will refill staff will rudly reply that it has run out. We stayed for 1 week and our room floor was never cleaned, our beds were never made and we had to ask presidently for clean towels, which we got once. Even bed linen were too small and did not fit the beds, so you ended up sleeping on a bare mattress by the morning.No kettle in the room for your morning tea. No frigde in the room. Avoid this place."

"Velingrand: A quiet town that offers nothing besides some taverns/restaurants and small shops.Dont visit if you are looking to have fun. NOT recommended for young people! Hotel: Generally a nice hotel. Staff is professional. However indoor SPA pools are outdated and need to be modernized. Also, there arent many activities to do; They could at least arrange for a walk in the park or music events. Dont go there if you are too active.Go there to isolate from everything"

"As others mention, the property itself could do with some renovation which means it doesn't feel perfectly clean and modern. However, the staff are very friendly and the stay was half-board with an excellent variety of food options (including most Bulgarian classics based on our internet searches) and a I think something for everyone. Their dessert chef(s) is amazing and produces really top quality dishes. It is within a 15 minute walking distance of the ski slopes, or alternatively they have limited shuttles to the slopes (8am, 8.15am, 9am, 9.15am) returning at similar times around 4pm. We would definitely go back here"
