"5-star review for a 5-star hotel on the shore of Lake Balaton. Most rooms have a small balcony with a lake view so the room configuration is not a rectangle, but there is plenty of room for two people and their luggage. The indoor pool and hot tubs are wonderful, sorry I missed the beer spa with the music! The dinner buffet and the breakfast buffet were magnificent, all of the staff were so courteous. "The main attraction here is the location, next to the Balaton. People tend to stay little time in the hotel. This place is good enough for sleeping and having a shower. There is no breakfast, although I was directed to a nearby hotel for it, so kinda solvable. The room costs the same money as a super clean apartment next to the Adriatic Sea with kitchen and A/C. "The Wellmarin Hotel is a lovely hotel, with great access to Lake Balaton. We have no complaints other than that there is very little English spoke at the front desk, and we did not feel very welcome, in comparison to the rest of the hotels we stayed at in Europe. There was a gentleman who worked the evening shift who did go above and beyond for us. We were thankful for him."
