"This is an assuming three story condo complex off the road to Hāna. This unit is on the 1st floor with parking directly outside. Location is great right at the back door of mama’s Fishhouse and a small beautiful beach to watch the amazing waves.The unit itself feels a little like an upgraded college dorm, in a good way. The guest room is right by the entrance and does not have AC but has a fan. There is AC in the living room and in the primary room. Plenty of bath and beach towels. Kitchen was well stocked and living room was comfortable. The sliding patio door was almost unusable as other reviewers had remarked. We had to go out the front door and walk around the building.The units next to us were quite loud, but not something that the owner can control.My main issue was the owner was completely unresponsive. I had to chase her down multiple times just to get check in information including contacting VRBO help get a response. I also had to chase down check out information which I received hours after we had left. When I finally got check in info the day of I asked for an early check-in and she told me she would let me know once the cleaner was done. Before check-in, we waited in front of the unit since we had groceries and didn’t see the cleaner go in/out before 4 PM. Nothing from the owner. I don’t believe the owner would have been helpful if a problem did arise during our stay."

"This place is more beautiful in person than what’s show in the pictures. Absolutely comfortable, clean, and the staff was professional, friendly and helpful. This will be our stay every time we come back. The ladies at the front desk were amazing. Centrally located and walkable to all the shops. The restaurant next door is great. "

"We had a great time staying in Jacque's cottage on the North Shore, far from the Maui crowds. Pa'ia is charming and funky, and we loved that all the local restaurants and shops were just a short walk away. It's ideal if you are looking for something a bit different from the typical Hawaiian tourist experience, as we were. It's also a great jumping-off point for Haleakala, the Road to Hana, and upcountry Maui. The owners are friendly and communicate well. On our first day, a light bulb burned out in the walk-in closet, and they came right over to replace it! Allowing guests to use the laundry machines around the back of the main house is also thoughtful and convenient. All around, a wonderful stay!"

"We had a great time camping for 5 days, exploring along the Road to Hana. Vehicle is very capable and we felt like we had a lot of options. Sebastian was awesome and really easy to communicate with. Setting up the rooftop tent was fairly easy and efficient. Overall an excellent value and wonderful experience!"
