Great views of the castle from rooms and rooftop area. Room was small but clean with decent aircon. Reception staff were friendy, helpful and able to communicate in broken English / with my basic tourist Japanese. The hotel is located in a quiet area with hip shops and restaurants nearby. Also a very short walk to the castle and massive shotengai.

Very nice hotel with rooftop overlooking Kumamoto Castle. Housekeeping is done everyday , shimotori shopping arcade is just 5mins walk with lots of dining options and shopping . If you are driving there's lot of 24/7 parking nearby.Quite spacious for solo traveler.

Hotel was opposite Kumamoto castle, easy walk. Access to hotel was easy by tram from the train station. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was very clean and had everything needed. I had view of Kumamoto Castle from my room which is awesome however you can go to the rooftop for amazing views of the castle also. I had the whole rooftop to myself to enjoy the beautiful night view of the area. Everything was walkable - food, castle, transport. Highly recommend.

Great hotel overall. Can't judge the breakfast but all the other aspects were wonderful, especially considering the prices range of the hotel. Renovated and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great neighborhood with many shops. Close to the tramway that gets you to the main station. View on the castle from the rooms located on the front side. Very very hard to beat cost-performance ratio.

A wonderful little hotel! Right by the castle but about 15min away from the main station. Coin laundry worked well and had a seyer, amenities were very nice, and the pajamas were super comfy!
