My kids loved being around the animals at the property and waking up to the sounds of cows and horses. We would have loved a tour of the property on one of the tractor trailers included in the stay. The cows and horses were super friendly and calm. The shared kitchen wasn’t the cleanest as it’s shared with some of the station hands. The rooms are in a donga type building, with a cute courtyard and tables. Lots of bugs around so make sure you shut the doors or you’ll end up with 1000 bugs in the bed. Don’t forget the bug spray - would be great if some mosquito coils were in the room. We loved making a camp fire - don’t forget to bring marshmallows. Plenty of food options in Kuranda for breakfast and lunch but only found one place open for dinner. The stay could be enhanced with a small breakfast (or at least coffee/tea in the rooms), or picnic lunch/dinner included. We found all staff super kind and helpful. The overall appeal of the place is wonderful - will definitely recommend to everyone we know.
