Staffs were wonderful , very clean clean kimono every day , food was good water tea and coffee also matcha available all the time . Hot springs , natural hot springs, sauna and steam room available , at any time . Respect the culture no shoes, but locker provided for shoes. Shoes were provided. Loved the place. Thanks to all the staffs

Great Onsen hotel close to city centre

Great Onsen hotel in the heart of the town, just one station away from Kyoto station, really great location for those who cannot afford the time to travel far for Onsen hotel. The hotel is clean and tidy, great service, and I really like the private baths that I can share with my family instead of strangers in public bath, and the wait was reasonable. The breakfast was good, more Japanese style options which are what we wanted. The Kaiseki dinner was good, though I had more delicious ones elsewhere before, still good value for money and nice experience overall. Definitely want to stay here again!

Lovely onsen experience with great food and some snacks and coffee/teas. The one lounge with sweets etc was tiny and a tough spot to see if things were being served/what they were. Room was comfortable but no blackout curtains so if that's an issue for you, make plans.

There are free beverages and ice creams, and all 5 private bath do not need advance reservations. The dining is also decent. The only problem is that there is too many people, among all the hot spring hotels, this hotel feels a little bit crowded.

Ryokan not far off from main kyoto station is a plus. Food options nearby isn't alot but has a very nice Izakaya food shop 2 streets down from the hotel. Packed some food back from shops and mart at Kyoto station :)

The hotel was beautiful, the amenities - especially the private baths - were great. Staff were friendly and the location was very handy to get around from. The only thing that was a bit of an issue was the key system: you're only given one set of keys and you must always exchange your key with access to your shoes or vice versa, so just stepping out for some air was such a chore, especially when the front desk is packed with people checking in or just wanting to get their shoes.

Love everything about this hotel. They offer half board for the booking, which I didn’t expect it to be a 5-6 course dinner followed by breakfast buffet with a great variety of food option. The hotel doesn’t allow you to wear shoes inside, but provides slippers and everywhere is covered with tatami mat. Also love the public and the private onsen, the various free treats/ice cream pop, and noodles at odd hours. Would definitely stay again and recommend to other people!
