This was the best all around hotel we’ve ever stayed at around the world, at any price point. Location 10/10, breakfast 10/10, aesthetic 10/10, bakery in the lobby was incredible. The rooms were very large and had all the amenities you could ask for. This hotel was so good we cancelled our next hotel for the rest of our stay in Kyoto and came back here. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

This hotel is ideally situated, close to Gion and most of the close-in temples as well as dining options and public transit. But this hotel really shines in its commitment to service. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful, the rooms were large (for Japan!) and well appointed. The on-site bakery is delicious and they have a nice roofbar. When I return to Kyoto I will certainly stay here again.
