We had to ask to be moved on our first night as the train noise was exceptionally loud. The room we moved to was fine. Staff were l lovely especially Dhungana Samar who helped us move rooms in the night. Concierge was also excellent.

the first night was appalling as the room smelt strongly of smoke and the was a train track outside the window with trains going past every few mins we complained and were moved to a quieter cleaner room the next day

the hotel is a bit hidden & hard to find at first. If you can catch the shuttle from Kyoto station to the hotel, I would recommend it. It is a lovely hotel. I booked a room on the executive floor, and I'm not really sure if there was any additional benefit that I was not already accustomed to for a regular booking. The room was quite small considering it was in Kyoto. The bathroom amenities provided were high quality and smelled amazing. They do have a shuttle service which I utilized for my departure to Kyoto station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurants smelled amazing, but I did not get a chance to visit any of them. There is a convenient currency converter in the lobby area and an ATM of course. The area itself is quite sleepy, but if you walk about 10 minutes there are quite a few restaurants and malls to visit.

The bed was not comfortable, and the duvet did not fit the size of the bed and continued to fall to the foot of the bed... Otherwise the stay was great, staff was excellent and helpful would recommend if you enjoy a gamble for quality of the bed.

The hotel was very, very nice. The room was large, and the air conditioning was cool. The shuttle to and from the train station was very helpful. The restaurants in the basement was very good, and the location was great.

Huge Hotel near Kyoto Station. Only a short walk with our luggage so it was very convenient for the price. The breakfast upstairs in the rotating sky lounge or whatever they call it was very cool. Great staff and cleanliness. Would definitely stay here again.
