"Beautiful rooms, great beds. Pools were lovely with nice seating areas. Loved the interior design of the entire hotel, beautiful views, all very clean. The upstairs restaurant had good food. As for the negatives: no minibar/fridge in the room to keep some drinks; no airconditioning/fan and the room got quite hot; breakfast costs €24,- pp and I had to make my own scrambled eggs which I had never seen before, very overpriced; we had to share the balcony from our room with other guests; though...

"The hotel did not have heating at night. Bedroom sheet was wet due how damp it was. We spoke to the owner multiple times, he did not bother to come and check on the heat. He complained that we left an apple and some other items at the room at the time of checkout. There was NO trash bag, trash can, or soap. He complained when I told him that my child had dairy allergies. He said: “ Why do you have a problem?” Well, people have different allergies. That was the worst attitude I have ever...

"We were 8 adults and 9 children. We had a lot of space and the decor was good for us. More people therefore certainly fit. La Chapelle d'Abondance ski slope was excellent for a few days or even a week for less experienced skiers. Especially the long green slope is recommended for beginners / careful (older) skiers. Via ski lift 'Panthiaz' you come to beautiful slopes in terms of possibilities and views. Recommended!"

"Very comfortable. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the amenities. I missed the laundry because the map was in the key folder which my husband had and didn't look at. Loved the free drinks in the mini fridge, nice lobby beverage area as well. Get dinner reservations if the weather is bad. It's an older hotel that is nicely renovated. I discovered that the windows fully open, which would have been nice to know when the room needed a cool down. The AC can be a bit slow. There's nice coffee shops around. Don't miss walking around oldtown. Lovely lunch spot at the Little Oak Rd. "
