"The room was freezing, there was no phone in the room to contact reception and the night receptionist did not know a word of English. The only restaurant in the hotel, which was also the only restaurant in that area, started serving at 8:00 p.m. and served only two soups and three rustic dishes, none of which could be eaten. It didn't even have a menu to choose from, and it was immediately filled with drunken men. It was like a nightmare for a family with children."

"La Grancha is a hotel in rural La Fresneda. The owners are lovely and welcoming. They speak little English so take a phrase book. The menu is in Spanish, we got help in translating from a fellow guest. The hotel is wonderfully rustic in this beautiful village."

"El personal muy agradable. Llamar hotel a este establecimiento es excesivo, es más una pensión. Las instalaciones son muy antiguas y no hay habitaciones con cama de matrimonio. "Ha sido genial. La casa es preciosa, orientada hacia el sudoeste por lo que en verano está fresquita. Las vistas al embalse no tienen precio, poder desayunar, comer y cenar en las tres estancias que tiene, todas con vistas al embalse es maravilloso.
