"We stayed for 9 days to relax, visit Paris and boulder in Fontainebleau forest. Gîte du Val D’auneau was the perfect base. Incredibly spacious, private and well appointed, we didn’t want for anything. Excellent pool area kept the kids happy for hours a the lovely covered outdoor dining area was a wonderful place to eat. Andréa and Philippe were the perfect hosts, they answered a questions promptly but allowed our privacy. Very highly recommended "

"Lovely house, very comfortable and well equipped for a family for two weeks near to climbing areas. Fireplace with a good supply of firewood very welcome for chilly spring evenings. "We were 6 in the property- grandparents, parents and children. The property was furnished to a good standard (all bedrooms are doubles but our boys shared a bed). Kitchen very well stocked. WiFi was set up with plenty of routers but didn’t work while we were there and didn’t get fixed. Pool was heated (a massive bonus) and I would guess about 8x4m in size. Supermarkets 10 mins away by car - all open Sunday mornings."

"Wow! Our group loved Helene’s place. The town is 1 hour train from Paris and you can get a taxi to the house although don’t rely on Uber/bolt. The pool area is wonderful and the grounds of the house have a lot to offer. The bedrooms are large and quite a lot of them have ensuites. The second house is attached to the main house and offers a quieter space for those that want it. Loved being able to walk to the boulangerie in the morning and the many restaurant options in the evening. "Beautiful house - immaculate inside and out. The house is very new and everything has been thought about with no expense spared. Alberic was such a lovely host - he booked dinner for us and provided my daughter with a more suitable sized bike - nothing was too much trouble. The house is set is a lovely quiet village but close to other towns and villages. My children loved the pool, again it was immaculate and heated to a lovely temperature.
