I enjoyed Driving into la Paz very interesting place - but when we pulled into the gated community we were asked “are you lost”?? This felt offensive and rude - not the owners fault - but i paid top dollar and expected somewhat a better greeting.
Aside from that, the place is beautiful but the property is somewhat empty due to Covid and neighbors seemed afraid of us, taking videos of us when we were outside. Again not the owners fault... But the vibration was not friendly. I wished The owner was living there, she was way nicer company than the neighbors.
The house needs a few bathroom rugs but likely did not have this due to Covid — and several light bulbs were missing. I didn't Know if the tiles were heated but the weather thus the floors were cold. Cold floors didn’t feel homey. I was Unable to find heat or air conditioning. Also the doors open so beautifully but they’re needs to be screens to avoid mosquitos and bugs.
The kitchen is beautiful but needs to have maybe salt, pepper, coffee, tea, basics like sugar so that grocery shopping doesn’t need to include all these basic items.
All in all a good stay. I enjoyed the stay. There are beds on the beach where i enjoyed a nap. The water seemed fine. There is the matter of the power plant, but, if one is not too sensitive to the light fumes, it’s fine.
The best part about this place is the owner. She’s a really lovely lady. She regretted having to hurry us out Saturday and she helped us find places to shop and was generally pleasant.
