Stunning Luxury w/Hot tub & Amazing Views on Private Lake - Bend

The stunning Lakeside East Cabin (3 bedroom/3.5 bath, sleeps 8) overlooks Tumalo Lake with cozy wood-burning stove, private hot tub, and amazing views. 12 mi to downtown Bend, 45 min to Mt Bachelor and 4 mi to Tumalo Falls. Immerse in nature and be as active as you choose: hiking, mountain biking, fishing, complimentary canoes, kayaks, SUPs, snowshoeing, sledding, hammock, horseshoe and corn hole game, shared fire pit. There is a wonderful 2-mile hike around the lake, a swimming dock and a lakeside fire pit.

The Lakeside East Cabin is one of five luxury vacation rental homes at Tumalo Lake Lodge (tumalolakelodge) nestled among pine trees on the water's edge of Tumalo Lake. The Lakeside East Cabin is located on a unique 640-acre private parcel of forested land surrounded on all sides by the Deschutes National Forest. The cabin overlooks Tumalo Lake and is surrounded by ponderosa pine trees, with cozy wood-burning stove, private hot tub overlooking the lake, and amazing views from every room. Immerse in nature and be as active as you choose. Need more or less space? We also have 2, 4 and 6 - 8 bedroom luxury cabins.

The Lakeside East Cabin is a high-end masterpiece of craftsmanship, constructed of huge Douglas Fir beams, cedar siding and shakes. Huge windows in every room provide a tree-house sensation with amazing views of nature in every direction. The large wrap-around deck and comfortable Adirondack chairs and rockers allow for relaxing in the fresh air while taking in the gorgeous natural surroundings and views.

The beautiful furnishings create an ambiance of casual luxury. The cabin's interior features knotty pine wood walls, doors and trim, knotty alder cabinets, and granite counter tops. The first-floor open floor plan includes radiant heated floors and decorative rugs. The living area has a wood-burning stove and huge windows with lake views. The dining area has floor to ceiling windows with views of nature on all sides. The chef's kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless appliances including a Jenn-Air professional stove. There is a half bath on this floor and a queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom with direct access to the deck.

The second-floor features gorgeous high-pitched wood ceilings, two charming queen bedroom suites with ensuite baths and a second living room area. The upstairs living area has huge windows with commanding views of the lake and a queen sofa bed. Bedrooms feature iron beds with quilts, cozy down comforters and pillows, and high thread count sheets. Each bedroom has amazing views in three directions. The ensuite baths feature either a shower over bathtub, granite counter tops, radiant heated floors, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion amenities and hair dryer.

There are a multitude of activities and amenities right out your door on the Tumalo Lake property. Enjoy hiking (there is a wonderful 2-mile hike around the lake and other longer ones), mountain biking, swimming, boating (complimentary kayaks, canoes, SUPs), fishing (no license required), birding, and playing cornhole and horseshoes. Relax on your private deck in a hammock or at the shared fire pit or lake deck, and stargaze from your private hot tub. While wildlife viewing from your deck, the lake deck or on the lake in your kayak/canoe you may spot ducks, blue heron, osprey, golden eagles, bald eagles as well as great horned owl, pileated woodpecker and others. In winter, snowshoe, sled, x-country ski, cozy up around your wood-burning stove or outside with s'mores at the shared fire pit. Bend and the surrounding area are world-famous for both its outdoor pursuits and pristine beauty. You can catch an art exhibit, dine at an award-winning restaurant, shop the boutiques, spoil yourself at one of our many spas, trek the legendary Bend Ale Trail, listen to live music or a enjoy a local festival. Bend makes a great spot for family-friendly fun as well, from cool snowshoe tours in some of Bend's snowy forests to watching raptors soar at the High Desert Museum. The area is a haven for summer and winter activities including river and mountain hiking, biking, golf, river rafting, fly fishing, rock climbing, skiing, and snow shoeing. View or hike around breathtaking mountain lakes. Visit stunning national and state parks: Newberry National Volcanic Monument (a fascinating collection of volcanic landscapes, lava flows, jagged volcanic glass, rivers, lakes, caves, hot springs, waterfalls, and forests) and Smith Rock State Park (a dramatic setting with great hiking, rock climbing and wildlife viewing that has been the backdrop of many western movies). Whether right on the property or the area close by, we have it all!

Great spot for a quiet getaway
Serene location and the well-furnished cabin lived up to its billing. It is a great place to unplug in the wilderness while still being reasonably close to town. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin
Beautiful location. Close enough to Bend (~20 min) to be near action and hikes, yet the cabin felt remote and secluded as well. We enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks and hikes around the lake as well as the hot tub. Keep in mind, there is no cell service here, and the wifi doesn’t really support streaming, etc. we were warned of this ahead of time but if you’re someone who needs fast WiFi and cell phone service be warned.

Wonderful getaway
Our fourth time staying in this cabin. Wonderful, quiet, and extremely clean and comfortable cabin in the woods. Feels like you're the only ones around. Super well stocked kitchen and plenty of games and activities. Our host, Bill, was extremely helpful. Can't say enough good things about the cabin or the hosts.

Serene lakeside escape
This lakeside cabin was a dream! It's incredibly quiet, nestled in the midst of nature's beauty. The property is well-maintained, making it a peaceful oasis. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the fully equipped kitchen with plates, pots, pans, and silverware made our stay even more enjoyable. Tracy and Bill were super nice and responsive!

Perfect vacation in Bend.
We had an amazing time at Tumalo Lake Lodge. The cabins are absolutely beautiful and the owners supply you with everything you could need for your stay. Bill was very friendly and always stopped to talk and make sure all our needs were met. The Lake has plenty of water toys and life vests. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Also they reply very quickly if you do need to reach out with any questions. 5 out of 5 with out a doubt. This is truly one of the best hidden gems in Oregon.

A+ For Summer Family Fun
Exceptional experience, exceptionally well-appointed home, great space for kids (5 ranging form 7-12). As a host ourselves, we could not be more pleased with the home, the communication from the owners, and the overall experience. Will return for sure.

Peaceful
Absolutely beautiful place. And omgosh! Tracy was so wonderful. My daughter’s ID was stolen and we needed to have her passport mailed to us so she could fly home. Tracy allowed us to send the passport to her and she brought it to us during our stay.

Lakeside East Cabin
This secluded cabin is off of Skyline Drive and a short distance from Tumalo Falls. The house looks like it is built to last 500 years and the amenities are top of the line. There are an abundance of windows in the front to enjoy the surrounding views of the lake, trees and mountains. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace which kept the place very cozy during our late fall stay. There is an easy 2 mile hike around the lake to get a little exercise during your stay. Even though you feel like you are in the middle of no where, you are an easy 12 mile drive to downtown Bend to purchase the supplies you may have forgotten.

All Expected and More
Our stay at the Lakeside East cabin, two couples, was all we anticipated and more. Amazing living space, places to sit and relax while enjoying the view of the beautiful landscape, quiet and peaceful moments, yet close enough to explore Bend and Sunriver. If you truly want to escape the stress of everyday life and spend quality time with family or friends, yet still enjoy all the comforts and luxuries offered, this is the place to stay. Our husbands really enjoyed the lake and had great success with the trout fishing. A special thank you to Tracy who always kept us informed throughout and was always kind and responsive to our questions as we prepared for our trip. Staying at Tumalo Lake Lodge & Cabins made our trip to Oregon all we anticipated.

Spectacular Stay
The cabin was wonderful. It had everything we needed to cook, have fun and relax. We enjoyed the games, puzzles, grilling out, the fire pit and hot tub. We found some great hiking on the property. We caught over 30 trout and enjoyed canoing. We loved watching the sunsets on the dock. We loved the wood burning stove and waking up to a few snow flurries. We saw 2 bald eagles which was amazing. There is nothing we needed. One of our best family trips . Thank you for sharing your beautiful place and the nature surrounding it. We will be back..

Our Awesome Spring Break
This is our second time staying here. And as previously... we loved it all over again. Kids had a great time in the snow. We are still amazed how beautiful it is. Especially when its snowing and all that snow covers the lake. It became a little slice of earthly heaven for us. This time we also hiked out to the Tumalo Falls. The road was closed off but we did make the 4.5 mile round trip hike from the gates. It was a lot of hard work especially with our younger kids, but so worth it! It was beautiful! On this stay we were also "uninvited guests" of a wedding that happened right out front of our cabin. What a beautiful day it was! Sunny! Snowy white! The lake dock was a perfect place. I can only imagine the awesome photos that the bride and groom will have. Congratulations to that couple!

Fabulous house on a secluded lake
Amazing setting if you are looking to unwind. Very peaceful, on what feels like your own private lake. The backdrop really is unbeatable. The house is well-designed, and fully equipped with everything you’ll need. Love that each bedroom has its own bathroom, PLUS there’s a fourth bathroom on the main floor. My kind of house! Hosts were very responsive and professional. If you keep the doors open for even a bit, you will have visitors. The chipmunks are adorable, and I get the feeling guests can’t resist feeding them. My husband fished on the lake (plenty of trout) and we paddled around. We saw kids swimming and jumping off the platform. So technically, it is swimmable – but it’s fairly stagnant water with lots of lily pads. It’s about a 20-25 drive into town, and you pretty much need to go through town to get to other local destinations. Since we like to get out every day, there was a lot of driving involved – but the scenery is beautiful so no complaints. Make sure to download the directions before you head out of Bend towards the house, as you will lose cell reception and it’s a bit confusing the first time. Also, as described, wifi is not the best. You will be able to access the internet, but tell your teens to be prepared … no streaming or sending photos. Also, there’s no dresser in the master bedroom upstairs which I thought was odd until I realized there are a couple of huge drawers and a small closet in the bathroom. All and all a great stay.

Family vacation
We loved everything about our stay in Cabin East. We unplugged and enjoy the surrounding area with peace. Sunrise from the dock, stars at night, campfires, hot tub and game nights by the fire were all our favorites! We met Bill briefly on a walk and finding out the history about the property was wonderful. Recommend to all for a nice reset in nature without distractions.

Peace by the lake
Beautifully designed and maintained upscale cabin with soaring ceilings overlooking lake and woods. Quiet. Comfy. Well provisioned kitchen—stocked with coffee, tea, seasonings…all the basics. Ages of guests: 70s, 60s, 40s, 30s plus a 5 year old. Each of us was delighted and wished we had more time. We boated on the lake and caught and cooked a couple of fish, gazed at the moon and stars, hiked the 2 mile trail, drove 20 minutes into Bend, read books, drive 20 minutes to Tumalo Falls, relaxed in the hot tub. It was perfect….so much better for us than staying in town. We will be back!

Perfect for Family Gatherings
There is something for everyone here. You have a short hiking trail right outside your front door. (There are also longer hikes very very close by…five to fifteen minute drive depending on where you want to go.) There’s a lake with kayaks, canoes and SUPs for everyone to use. The swim dock in the middle of the lake is fun for the kids. (There are life jackets available at the lake.) Hammocks, hot tubbing or hanging out on the deck soaking up the gorgeous lake views is also on the list of things to do. Like to play cornhole? They have that too. You are far enough away from the busyness of Bend and SunRiver to really feel like you’re in your own little world, but close enough that you can go to town if you want to. We have been with your family twice. Highly recommend.

Great family trip
This was our first time in Oregon and we could not have enjoyed it more. We had a great time staying here on the private lake. Very quiet and our kids loved all the boats and paddle boards. Fishing was great too. Went with my father who was feeling very cold when we arrived and the hosts were very helpful to walk me through working the heater. We had a great time and already recommended it to friends of ours who might stay there for a large family reunion!

Best Family Getaway
We always go on a trip every year on our wedding anniversary, and this is our favorite. The lakeside cabin was a dream! It’s a perfect getaway with its stunning natural setting, secluded lake, and beautiful glass structure. Everything you needed and more was there. Our kids had a blast and didn’t want to leave. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We’ll definitely coming back every year from now on.
