"We hadden een fantastisch verblijf. De gastheer verwelkomde ons heel vriendelijk bij aankomst. We installeerden ons in het verblijf en kregen daarna een rondleiding over het domein en in het kasteel dat volledig gerestaureerd wordt. De gastheer is een gepassioneerd verteller en het was duidelijk dat zijn hart bij het kasteel, de restauratie en het domein ligt. Situated in a quiet village a short drive from Poitiers, La Valette is a chateau full of character and charm set in a beautiful parkland. The house easily accommodated our family group of 7 adults and 4 teens, with room to spare for half a dozen more. "This really is a Narnia house- the entrance is somewhat deceptive because once you get inside it is quite magical. Not only has the owner, Nancy, gathered together a lot of fascinating French antiques, but it is also a very comfortable house with every modern appliance you can think of. We didn’t use the garden much as we had a lot of rain but it is pretty, enclosed and safe for our dog. The village is within easy walking distance and has a baker! Date of stay - 23 - 27 September 2024 "

"Loved it here! We want to come back! We stayed in a tree house and it was the perfect size for our family of 5 and our cats. We loved the pool, activities, and playground. We want to come back during the summer to do the zip lining and other activities in the warmer weather. I wish there was more food options. It was also nice to have the wifi in the lounge area by the pool. We loved walking around and seeing the different accommodations."

"Hôtel bien situé et agréable .. chambre spacieuse avec le lit très grand et confortable j ai dormi comme un bébé ! Salle d eau de bonne dimension avec une douche a mi chemin entre la baignoire et la douche idéale si vous avez des enfants en bas âge a doucher et sans mettre de l eau partout a la sortie de douche ! Je re prendrai une chambre sans hésiter "

Only a one night stay

"We booked the hotel to attend a music concert at the Futurascope Arena. The hotel is clean and tidy with excellent facilities. The bar has tables with games on them which was a unique touch. Check-in was easy, staff where very friendly and efficient. Room was a good size, bed was comfortable. The only downsides were that their were no drink making facilities in the room and the bathroom and toilet area were tired. We would use the hotel again. "

"This was a one night stop over and so we didn’t expect much. Room was OK, breakfast also OK. Lack of how water in the room was a definite issue, we didn’t find out about this until our morning showers by which time it was too late to do anything. "

"We have stayed at this hotel several times on pur way back to our home in Spain. The room is spacious and clean, the staff welcoming. A little more expensive than we generally pay, but the quality is worth ot."
