The exterior and surrounding grounds of the house were enchanting. Each time we went away for a day to do some sight-seeing - on our return, seeing the house always made us smile. "The property was well equiped for holiday requirements. Local village has what you need. The bakery was nice for fresh croissants and baguettes. Also a small intermarche within walking distance which was handy. Plenty to do in the area, château's, caves etc. We particularly liked the Base de Loisirs de Rouffiac, which is a lake with beach and plenty of activities, kayaking, swimming, water ski park, tree park with zip lines, high wire bridges etc and it had different levels of difficulty...

"It was not as expected from the photos. The downstairs of the house was dark (due to the verandah) and damp and smelt of damp. Walls and ceilings were stained with old leaks. The TV did not work. Stairs needed great care to use - we had to leave most of our luggage downstairs. The outside door was difficult to lock/unlock.The wardrobe in the bedroom was full of junk. "Greeting from Karen & Richard was so nice. A lovely couple who presented the property so very well. The gardens were immaculate and brilliant for the kids and our dog. We had a fantastic relaxing week. Visiting a few beautiful chateau’s. Great location just a few miles from the motorway, in the fantastic French country side. So access to the surrounding towns and villages are easy."

"This gite has everything you could need and more from a lovely pool to an outdoor gas barbecue and an (indoor) air fryer. Julia and her family made us all feel really welcome, lots of helpful advice and communication. The only thing we’d change was the weather! Such a shame and meant we didn’t make as much use of the fab pool as we’d hoped. Other than that - perfect!"
