There is hiking just 10 minutes away at the state parks.
The downtowns of LaSalle and Peru have specials at the day spas, great restaurants, fantastic pizza, locally-owned boutiques, antique shopping and wine tasting.
Plus, be sure to visit Star Union Spirits Distillery in the historic Westclox Building in Peru.
Enjoy the fully fenced in backyard with its propane grill, deck and fire pit! Bring the kids- bring your dog!

Pack a weekender bag and head down for a little escape in Starved Rock Country.
Relax in the modern, platform beds with crisp, white linens and down-alternative feather duvets.
Get your chef on in the fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances, cookware and dinnerware you'll need for seven. Coffee and tea are available for the morning.
The bathrooms are stocked with fresh towels and all basic amenities. The full bathroom is located on the second floor. The home does have a dormer roof so the upstairs rooms have slanted ceilings. This is not a problem for most guests but if you are really tall, you may find the shower to be less than ideal.
This home is full of light, vibrant colors and designer touches.
The home sleeps 7 guests.
The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and the upstairs bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a brand new, full size sleeper sofa in the living room and double futon in the upstairs common room- which is best suited for children.
