"What a delightful hotel. The rooms were modern, stylish, clean as a whistle and well equipped. The building is equally stylish and well maintained. We didn't eat in the dining room as it was very busy but crossed the road to a restaurant clearly popular with the locals where I enjoyed the best Cafe Gourmand of my life, for a very reasonable price. "The first room we got assigned had no towels, a dirty shower and missed pillow cases. The reception said that housekeeping couldn’t come back to clean and we were assigned another room. It appeared that it was cleaned but the airconditioning wasn’t working in this room. This property is old, not maintained (leaking air conditioning in the hallways) or cleaned (dirty carpets) . Staff didn’t even care when I told them I had a terrible stay upon check out. They just smiled. When paying 300 Euros...

The pool staff was a bit aloof and didnt start the sauna's on time and I had to ask and they forgot to turn one of them on , (which wouldnt have mattered but I only had an hour and it was the reason I came) It is quite far from the train station and quite a pricey uber/ cab drive (38 euros from trouville station) but it is well worth it for the spa vibe and the beautiful floral decor around the hotel. "This is in a retirement complex within walking distance (1km) of the centre of Lisieux. The room we had was good, with a kitchen with Hob and microwave and a dining area. "Maddie (the owner)was there if required and very helpful. Well equipped and quiet place to stay. If you have children there is a vast amount od toys and a toy shed. There are chickens at the end of the garden and love to be fed any scraps you have left. The garden is well kept and very pleasant. I give it 5 stars."
