The most difficult part was that we arrived on a weekend and there isn’t anyone at reception. we also arrived quite late in the day and we weren’t able to access the property to then use their landline to call them and check-in. "Dirty dusty place. Cobwebs … spiders. Coffee stains on floors. It desperately needs a deep clean. No communication prior to arrival despite numerous attempts from our end. "Stayed in a cabin for 5 nights with our 2 children. Cabins were great value for money and had everything we needed including not having to bring our own bedding or towels! "An excellent location, close to transport, shopping and dining options. The restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner. An easy walk to the harbour and Gamla Stan (old town). The room was a good size and clean, however, there was no fridge and no tea and coffee making facilities. These had to be purchased in the reception area."

"My stay at the Diplomat was lovely. It is an elegant hotel in a beautiful, historic building. The charm of the water across the street and being able to easily walk to the tram or subway near was super convenient. My room was well appointed with nice linens and a comfortable bed. Great water pressure in the shower too! I ate at the downstairs restaurant twice, both times exactly what I needed with good food and attentive service. I highly recommend the Diplomat and will be returning in the future. "
