The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for short walks through Castel di Sangro, or for drives through the gorgeous Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo and its scenic towns. Dimora del Prete is a beautiful and well preserved palace with historical significance but with modern touches and amenities. During our stay we felt well taken care of with a yummy and elegantly set out breakfast. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and special. Our host, Angela, appeared out of nowhere with her perfect English and eagerness to assist us in just about everything from parking our car to finding a perfect gift for our son. The tour of the opulent palace that she gave us was an unexpected bonus and made us delve into 18-19th century Italian history. In sum, our stay was outstanding and we’re very glad that our Italian trip included Dimora del Prete and Venafro. "
