## Neighborhood

The apartment is located on the Lagos side of 'Meia Praia', the area named after the beach behind which it lays. You'll have your toes in the sand within 5 minutes after leaving the house! The Marina area is about 20 minutes walking away and has all you need including restaurants, bars with live music and a large supermarket. To reach Lagos downtown you just cross the bridge behind the marina.

There are also a few restaurants located at Meia Praia, some as part of resorts. The Vila Galé resort also has spa and gym facilities that are open for outside customers.

Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.

## Transit

You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.

Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

relaxing stay
Lagos was our last area of stay in Portugal after 3 weeks. This place was a nice way to end our vacation. There was lots of parking, it was well equipped in the kitchen, a spacious apartment and very quiet. It was very close to the beach and boardwalk and had a great patio to enjoy the beautiful view! A few things we would have liked to see was an information book in the apartment instead of relying of my phone to tell us of the place, surrounding area and such. It would have made it easier for everyone staying there. There were no instructions on how to operate the washer, we had to call someone to help us out, which turns out the door was not latching properly, this needs attention. There were a few things needing attention. It also had a toilet which needed repair as it didn't flush, we jimmied it with a zap strap, and one of the bathrooms shower head needs replacing. This place was comfortable to stay, it would be nice to see some of the furniture replaced as it is a bit worn out and dated. If you are looking for something close to town, you have a bit of a walk, more than we expected. We came here by car and when we put the place into google maps it did not come up with the proper area, we ended up having to call the rental company to guide us there. Our other places of stay we always were in contact with the actual owners, which we preferred to communicate with instead of through a rental company. It was a comfortable and very quiet place stay.

Challenge to find
Although it was a challenge to find, once we were there it was nice. What was not mentioned was location was off a dirt road on main entrance. Also lock boxes are hidden. But place was clean, washer didn’t work but we were ok with this. Great views. Great parking.

Stay in Lagos
The accommodation is very nice with a wonderful ocean view and patio with a roof top patio as well. The beach (Meia Praia) access is right there. It is only about a 10 minute drive to downtown Lagos so is easily accessible. It is about a 40 minute walk to the older part of town. Good restaurants within walking distance.
