Lake’s Edge Lodge | Stroll to the Lake

At the edge of the lake you will find a rustic A-frame chalet with high ceilings, a floor to ceiling wall of windows with expansive views of the forest, wood beams, and a circle of light cast by the grand chandelier. Step outside to take a closer look at the tranquility and serenity of the forest where just beyond sight the lake shore gives way to the beauty of Lake Arrowhead. A short walk from the house you will find yourself at the lake trail where you can walk the trails, and fish or swim from the trail. A few steps in the other direction is the Lake Arrowhead Brewing Company, where you can hang out with friends or the kiddos and enjoy a bite or a drink. Continue walking less than 1/2 mile is the Village with lots of options for shopping, dining, or taking a cruise on the Queen Boat where you will learn about the history of the lake and the rick and famous who shape the identity of Lake Arrowhead. What makes the Lodge unique is:

- lakeside location where you can easily walk to the lake, restaurants, shopping
- lake access on Lake Arrowhead, a private lake
- the experience of inside out living with lots of options for outdoor dining
- a wood burning stove for cozy gatherings
- convenient den area with TV and a workspace
- 4 game tables including billiards, table tennis, air hockey, and foosball
- a record player
- a screened in porch with a swing to relax and spend some alone time
- County maintained and plowed road with level access to the garage and entry

Note: The trail to the lake is a bit steep at first if accessing it from the driveway area - it’s best to use the stairs from the primary bedroom to avoid the steeper section.

Nice Location
Easy to find location. I grew up with a vacation home around the corner, which is why i chose this place. Walk to the village within minutes for shops, restaurants and grocery store. Place was clean and presented well. Not sure why the screen room was missing its screen or why the top level tv room lights didnt work. As for the entry door step, i suggest for safety reasons you add another 2x4 for a little more length for stepping out of the doorway. Other than that, enjoyed our stay. If bringing a dog, at the botton on the backyard property, there is a little area with poop bag station. A little pricey, especially after being double charged for late checkout (Happy Face Cedar Glen Malt Shop didn't open until 11am) charged for a additional guestv that didn't exist and a check in fiem that was not accessible. I believe the management company is fixing all of this. Also $57 in vrbo fees. But I would say totally acceptable if mid summer and lake rights included. Just my personal opinion,, not a knock on the property or owner becauaec we had a great stay.

Cabin on the lake
The house is wonderful, we really loved the entire experience. There is a brewery within walking distance. You can walk from the back yard however the trail behind the house is private, which we didn't know. So we were stopped by someone asking for our pass, which we didn't have and didn't know. If it was mentioned in the rental comments, then I missed it. We for sure didn't want to cause trouble but walking through the back into the village is much safer than walking on the street.

Good Location But House is a Fixer Upper
This house is in a good location if you want access to the local activities. It is a 5 minute walk to the lake and the local brewery and 15-20 minutes to walk to the Village. If you want privacy, this may not be the place for you as there is a lot of traffic on the street where the house sits and you can definitely hear the partying on the lake. The house needs some updating. Since they allow dogs, there is a lot of dog hair on the floor and visiting critters have clearly marked their territory. The two downstairs carpeted areas smell like urine. A lot of the lights don’t seem to work either. We told the manager about a couple issues and they were quick to fix the problems. For some reason there are only 6 plates but about 20 wine glasses. This meant we had to run the dishwasher every day or two. The air conditioner works well and the porch is pleasant to sit on throughout the day.

Amazing Location by the Lake
This was everything we expected! Super nice place, great big patio. The layout of the house is a bit weird but totally fine. The best part is the location so close to the lake and brewery. As such, it's also right off of the main road so you can hear the traffic during the day so not the right place if you're looking for quiet secluded forest. Definitely the right place if you're looking for easy trails around the lake and walking distance to a lot of things to do!

Great cabin and location!
This cabin has been beautifully remodeled inside, was spacious for our group of 2 adults and 6 teens, and perfectly located within walking distance of the Village and lake. We made all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen that has new appliances. The fireplace and heating kept us cozy and warm during our snowy stay. Would most definitely rent this cabin again!

Mountain retreat
The views and sounds of the creek below the trees was boastful from the spacious deck. The layout of the house is unique and is split into two separate lower levels. It was well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen and bedrooms. Pet friendly accommodations were a must for our family and this was great for our pups. We enjoyed game nights and a walk down the hill to the local brewery where our delicious poke bowl dinner was delivered. It was a great trip!!

Amazing Stay!
My family and I truly loved our staying! This cabin is gorgeous! It is certainly more than we expected! Loved how clean and organized all was, we loved the big open glass A shape window in the kitchen! Loved to be-surrounded by trees and be able to sit and enjoy the outdoor so close to nature and close to the lake . The Arrowhead Village was literally around the corner! Everything was clean, well equipped, all major appliances updated, comfortable beds and pillows! Loved every morning waking up surrounded by trees and birds, the street where the cabin is, it’s busy but I guess the rooms were isolated very good because we didn’t even noticed cars, unless we went outside. - The family room was a plus!!! Many games, Big TV and cozy comfortable couch. The communication with management was fluid and positive all the time. We made beautiful memories! Thank you Dogwood Cabins! We highly recommend this place.

Excellent location which is very close to the market center and a short walk to the lake shore line.
Very clean place with new towels, new bed sheets, new appliances, heater works nicely, and very strong Wifi signal which were great to see in rental cabin. 5 star grading for me. Only a minor issue is tentants were not allowed to do fishing at the lake.
