"It’s not cheap, but the Vermont Hotel is a great place to stay. The location is convenient to downtown amenities, the building is well designed and well maintained, and the service is excellent. "
"I spent last weekend in the "Superior single room lake view." I'm a woman in her 30s traveling solo - in town for a wedding. The owner is very nice and welcoming (gave me a map and restaurant recommendations) and I felt safe walking to and from downtown Burlington from this location. Parking out front was easy. It was also easy to locate (an adorable pink Victorian house).
My room was pretty, clean, spacious, and comfortable! It was a warm weekend and I liked that the room had both ac and a fan (I didn't need ac overnight). The room had plenty of easy access outlets to charge all my things and the wifi was stable with no issues logging on. It also had lots of clean towels, a hairdryer, access to an iron, and plenty of space to hang my dresses and coats.
Beverages/coffee/snacks and light breakfast were available on the 2nd floor landing which was much appreciated!
My only teeny tiny word to the wise is that there wasn't conditioner (I really liked the other soap/bath products though), so be sure to bring that if it's in your routine - I just picked some up at a nearby cvs. Also the water pressure in the shower was a bit low. Not a huge deal though.
I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come again! Thank you! "
Cozy- 2-Bedroom clean and Quiet- Maple St. Walk anywhere
10/10 Excellent
"We considered spending more on a bigger place but were encouraged by the reviews. We were two couples and it was plenty of space for us. Beds were comfy and the AC as cold as we needed it, a must for the hot nights. Parking convenient. Apartment clean. Pretty quiet at night aside from a few cars revving their engines. Would definitely recommend if you're planning to be out and about during your stay. "
"If you are coming in by train on the Ethan Allen Express it’s a literal 4 minute walk to the station. The place is also very close to all the shopping/restaurants/bars/coffee shops you could want and hiking/biking on the island line trail. And after all that you can come home and sit on the balcony with an angular view of the lake. "
