The Gowdy Apartment is a two bed (both Queen) one bath apartment. It is located in the historic district and walking distance is a mere 2 blocks to the center town, restaurants, pubs, and town events. The Gowdy Apartment has a nice private courtyard with fire pit, grill, picnic table and stunning mountain views. The Gowdy Apartment is a modern rental on the same property as The Gowdy Manor (historic home built in 1882) and The Gowdy Studio. OHVs are only allowed to travel on Hwy 149 from June 13th until September 30th

The Gowdy apartment was very clean and comfortable. Jim met us and explained everything we needed to know and was helpful throughout our stay. We loved the location, and the back yard was great for having other family members come visit. We have been going to Lake City 50 years and stayed in a variety of houses and cabins and this is our favorite. We will certainly be back!

Jim is a terrific host! We stayed for a great “side by side” trip driving the Alpine loop. Great parking, near all the great bars and restaurants!

Last weekend of Ice Climbing for the Season.

This is the perfect place for 2-4 people looking to stay in Lake City. Jim is easy to work with, always responds quickly and takes good care of his guests.

Awesome place to stay!

We were in LC for ice climbing. This place was perfect for our group. Close to the climbs (kind of hard not to be in LC lol), enough room for our gear and stocked kitchen with pots and dishes... Would stay here again!Jim was also nice enough to meet us out front around 9pm to make sure we got into OK and settled. Super friendly.

Wonderful stay!

Jim and Dana were great. The apartment was perfect. It was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. The small back yard was just right for our two dogs. The location of the apartment was ideally located. We hope to go back soon!

Perfect place centered in town!

Check in was easy and smooth! Jim was super kind and helpful. The private yard was perfect for the dog and everything was within walking distance. The parking was AWESOME! completely hassle free! We enjoyed our stay and will book again for sure when we come back!

Very clean spacious home.

What a lovely cozy,clean and spacious place to stay. Kitchen was well stocked. Very comfortable beds. Cute back yard for our little dogs. We will be back next year. Do not hesitate to stay at this home.

Coast apt stay

This apartment was fabulous! It was cozy and decorated so well! All appliances were top-end and the beds were so comfortable. Jim, the host, couldn’t have been more helpful. We left a phone charger and he called to ask if it was ours. He then even delivered it to us the next day. We will definitely be back!!

Lake City Fall Fun

We loved our stay here, what a great find! We stayed for the weekend with my Nephew and his girlfriend and our 2 dogs. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The property was clean and had everything we needed, including some kitchen staples we forgot to bring. The fenced backyard was nice for the dogs, and we enjoyed morning walks down by the river. Great base camp for adventures of all kinds, we would definitely stay here again!

Great host

From the moment I booked, Jim, the host, was amazing. His communication was lightening quick and helpful. He met us at the property and gave us some insider intel about Lake City. He made sure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed. The property is on the Main Street, making it convenient to walk to restaurants and local shops. The 2 bedroom apartment is comfortable for 4 adults. The kitchen is well equipped and unlike many other locations it has Dish tv. I would highly recommend staying here.
