The perfect home to create lasting memories with family and friends! This 6 bedroom home has it all for entertaining with amazing views of Bald Mountain and the Bald Mountain golf course including the green and pond that was filmed in the pop-culture hit "Dirty Dancing"! Guests also have access to a wide array of amenities at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure. In addition, there are so many options within a one hour drive (Asheville, Biltmore Estate, vineyard/wine tours, brewery tours, Chimney Rock State Park, Bald Mountain State Park, Zen Tubing, Tryon International Equestrian Center, and much, much more!).

Managed by local Property Management team that live at Rumbling Bald who know the area, key events/things to do and can provide immediate response to address any questions or issues that may arise during your stay. Our goal is to make sure you have "the time of your life" at Lake Lure! Please note that this property sleeps 12 and the rental includes 12 passes to utilize the amenities at Rumbling Bald. Children under 12 don't need a pass. Passes are required to access main beach, all pools, Wellness Center and Cabana (boat rentals). Passes are not required for the golf courses, restaurants or the common areas/trails.. The Resort has pontoon boats which are available to rent, along with SUP Boards and kayaks. Additionally, speed boats can be rented at Lake Lure Adventures. Golf Carts can be rented from Resort or other providers in the area. Contact me for more details. Please note we have Private Caretakers who have been trained on how to clean the home to disinfect it after each stay. This means they wear gloves and disinfect every surface, door knob, light switch, remote controls, foosball handles, etc. Private hot tub on back deck (easy access to kitchen area). Some homes advertise they have a hot tub, but it is located at the indoor pool at the Resort. Big difference. Not all homes in Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure are behind the gates and not all homes have INTERNET. This one does. Some homes have access to Resort but it is a pain to drive to the amenities. Make sure you know what you are renting and where it is located. Located within the gates of the Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure. Note only houses which are part of the resort have access to the resort amenities (2 golf courses, 3 outdoor pools, 1 in-door pool and much, much more!

Great place for a large group!
Great space for a large group of families with kids. The kitchen was very well stocked with things that we needed, and we had great, proactive communication with the property manager. The location is great with lots to do in the Rumbling Bald property, and a reasonable drive to other attractions. We forgot a few items when we left and the property managers were so kind about it and got it mailed out to us right away.

My family of 15 had a great week long stay at the Dirty Dancing Lodge. The house looked exactly like the photos and was clean and well maintained. It is laid out nicely with both upstairs and downstairs living areas that included a nice game room. The house has a very roomy laundry room with a washer and two driers. It had all of the basic things we needed. When we found we were short of towels the caretaker came immediately to supply them. She also answered my texts quickly and was very helpful and informative before and during our stay. The kitchen and garage offered lots of refrigerator and freezer space. Unfortunately, there was no pantry for food item storage, so cereal boxes, chips and canned goods all stayed on the counters for the week. While the beds were very comfortable, three of the bedrooms were so filled with beds it was difficult to reach closets, fully open dresser drawers, or walk around the beds. The outside area was beautiful and offered many decks and seating areas. The hot tub located on the upper deck showed stress and buckling of the decking material, so we chose not to use it for safety reasons and kept away. We asked the caretaker about it and she assured us that it had been assessed by engineers, however that did little to reassure us as the warped decking and railings told another story. However, the Rumbling Bald community had lots offer our kids - mini-golf, the lake, lazy river, pools, so they didn’t mind. Overall, it was a great week.

Great house for large group!
We had 12 family members (from 16 to 85 yrs old) stay a week at the Dirty Dancing lodge and everyone loved it! The house is spacious, well-maintained, beds & seating are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you’ll need. Fun game room on the lower level to keep kids (& dads) entertained. Great communication and friendliness by the property manager. Awesome location in Rumbling Bald and the views from the back deck are great. We’ll be back!

We selected this home because it was large enough to accommodate a large family gathering. The house is nestled in the trees and has a breath taking view of the mountains. We loved our morning coffee on the deck and enjoyed watching the birds. We had some very special guests visit… a mamma bear and one cub. This was a highlight of our vacation.

Beautiful home, unbeatable manager!
This house was perfect for our Lake Lure vacation! Our ages ranged from 70 to 1….its hard to find a house allowing naps during the day and chatty family members at night, but this was perfect. The View! Both upstairs bedroom suites had stunning mountain and golf course views as did the living area and back deck. The house itself is well equipped in the kitchen, the beds are comfy and the air conditioning worked perfectly in 90 degree heat. But I can’t say enough good things about Scott, the property manager! He and his wife live right down the street and went above and beyond helping us enjoy our visit. They picked up our garbage (the resort is mindful of bears…never saw one.), offered tips and made sure we had no issues. If you have a family and want to visit Rumbling Bald and all the resort has to offer, STAY HERE!

Excellent home for large gatherings at Lake Lure
We discovered this wonderful home in Lake Lure last year, and it has become the perfect place for our family reunions. We enjoyed it so much that we have already made our reservation for next summer. The property manager, Laurie, communicates frequently and responds quickly. She made us feel at home. We appreciate the beautiful views, well-stocked kitchen, and six bedrooms, which provide enough space for our adult children. The basement bedrooms and den are perfect for those who enjoy having a separate space, and everyone loved the new Ms. Pac-Man arcade game. This is our third house in Lake Lure and by far our favorite!

Beautiful view!
This beautiful property was spacious and delightful. We enjoyed every moment, inside and outside and never felt as though we were hovering over each other. The only issues we had were that the hot tub placement on the upper deck looked precarious, so we didn't use it. The wonderful home seems to have a bit of a moisture issue that revealed itself throughout the week. It would not prevent us from renting this home again. We appreciated having such a spacious garage, which included an extra refrigerator and standing freezer. Also appreciated was the flat extra parking at the side of the house. Communication with the owner/manager was open and always helpful.

Family Christmas Gathering
Every year at Christmas our family gathers to celebrate together, since there is 13 of us we rent a cabin. This house is the best we’ve stayed in yet! Communication with the owner was easy with quick response times! The house had everything anyone would need! One of the BEST things about this house was the mattresses on each bed!!! They were awesome and so very comfortable!! Most of the rentals we’ve stayed at did not have good supportive mattresses! The owner left up the Christmas tree and decorations which were beautiful and perfect! The views were amazing even from the two master suites! Hopefully we can stay here again!!

This Property Has It All
We had a large group of 5 couples and we had everything we needed. The kitchen was supplied with every utensil, pots, pans, dishes and appliances we needed. Even an air fryer. Most important were the 2 coffee pots and a hot water pot for all of us. We built so many fires and the property had plenty of wood at the house. Their was ample space for all of us inside and out. LOVED the swing overlooking the lake and the mountains. Absolutely gorgeous view! Most of all, I would like to thank the amazing property managers! We had no power when we arrived (there was a line hit during some construction in the area). Scott & Lynette provided plenty of lanterns for each of us and continually communicated with us during the outage. They assured us they would take care of us - and they did. They even surprised us with a smore's gift basket for our group as a consolation! SO KIND! Thankfully, the power was restored quickly, but we were impressed with how it was handled by the Martins. They were very responsive. It felt like home here and we really did have the time of our lives! Thank you!

Golf Trip Fall 23
Great property, with great amenities. We have been coming up for 4 years, staying at different houses. But i think we found our every year home, if had everything our group of 10 guys needed and then some. Great communication with the leasing manager and easy check in. Will definitely be back for our next golf outing.

Perfect house for a big group
Super easy communication with homeowners before checking in. Very quick responses. Homeowners also sent a list of activities going on for the weekend which was awesome! Upon arrival, parking at home was easy, several level spots for 6-8 cars easily. The kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need or want. And the house is set up so a large group can really spread out and not feel on top of each other. Lots of fun games in basement - ping pong, pool table, foosball table. Then the 2 separate living rooms, fire pit stocked with wood, hot tub, and 2 huge back patios were so great. Also the garage had 2 extra refrigerators, coolers, lawn chairs, and pool noodles to borrow. Our group goes to Rumbling Bald annually, and everyone agreed this is our favorite house to date! We’ll be back!!!

A week at Rumbling Bald
The Dirty Dancing Lodge was located with a view of a small lake, the golf course area where a scene from Dirty Dancing was filmed and Rumbling Bald Mountain. As the two oldest members of the family, my husband and I spent a lot of time enjoying the views both back and front of the property. The youngest found much to occupy their time. We even saw a bear! I recommend this vacation home.

We had such an incredible time celebrating my folks 60th wedding anniversary and cousins 60th birthday. The house was very clean, roomy and it had plenty of fun things to do to keep everyone busy when at the house. The back porch was perfect for enjoying the amazing view. Rumbling Bald Resort
Our family of my wife and I and our 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren stayed in the "Dirty Dancing House" at the Rumbling Bald Resort at Lake Lure NC. The home was perfect for our group with plenty of bedroom space and gathering spaces. Located just above the 16th hole of the Bald Mountain golf course, we had great views of the Blue Ridge mountains nearby. Everyone in our group, with their varied interests, all found something they liked to do.Some like the pool and beach at the lake, and some enjoyed playing golf. Some just enjoyed relaxing on the spacious decks surrounding the house. We had a great week.

Great Property that has it all
We had five adults and eight children in our group. Everything the home has to offer was used; grill, fire pit, foosball table, pool table, ping pong table, and hot tub. The kitchen is very well stocked. The view from the decks is beautiful. Scott was an outstanding host. He responded quickly to any questions I had. Rumbling Bald has a lot to offer but if you want to get outside the resort, it is 20 - 30 minutes from other attractions (cities of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock).

Awesome lodge and amenities
Dirty Dancing Lodge was a perfect size and layout for our party of 16 family members. There were 4 family units sharing this lodge who all had their own bathrooms and privacy. The common areas were great sizes for our gatherings with no one feeling we were on top of each other. All the amenities on the resort were perfect for all our ages with multiple things that each enjoyed. A perfect place for memory making as we gathered from 4 different states. Really appreciated all the communications/recommendations received from the property manager who truly enhanced our gathering. Would return in a heartbeat.

Bed sheets and carpet were gross
We arrived in the afternoon and assumed the bed sheets were clean. When 2 beds were found to be gross and not washed we had 2 people end up sleeping on the couch. We had to wash our own sheets the next morning. Also the carpet on the stained and disgusting. We were not even offered some of our money back. The location was great but you will have to deal with a dirty bed.

The property was beautiful—like a park setting! The winding roads and hairpin turns to get to the property set it apart as a retreat from reality! The house we rented was superb—6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a teen’s delights with a ping pong table and a pool table. The spacious upper deck we especially enjoyed with the hot tub. It was a perfect place to sit and view the wildlife! Scott was the perfect host always providing us with information about extra activities and extra info. to make our stay just perfect!
