I stayed at this resort many times decades ago. This was our first time back since then. I’m happy to share it is still as wonderful as it used to be! The hotel itself is beautiful, very Adirondack! The front desk staff was friendly and so helpful. We arrived early so I went in to inquire about using the parking garage until it was time to check in. The clerk said she’d see if our room was ready and if so, we could go ahead and check in. That was so kind, and gave us a chance to rest a bit before meeting up with our family. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom and shower were beautiful. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower cap and soap was provided. Each room has a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table, ours overlooked the pool (closed at this time of year) and a view of the lake. The tv had full cable, and the hotel has free WiFi. We could not have been happier with our stay!

Everything was wonderful. Clean, housekeeping daily, tons of restaurants right there. The perfect trip for relaxation and enough to do. The front desk team wasn't rude but also nothing above and beyond. My only complaint was the TVs not even having Netflix and very limited channels and only one restaurant at resort open but they advertise two restaurants and a bar

We had two rooms / one in the waterfront collection which was very nice, and the other in the big building which was just weird. It was totally unclear to me when I booked the two rooms that they were in entirely different locations so I feel this was rather misrepresented on the website. And yet they cost just about the same amount which was not cheap! When we checked in the explanation for this arrangement was totally unclear and the staff didn’t do a very good job of even explaining where to go. Better signage would really help as the hotel is very decentralized and confusing. But the big hotel clearly needs a total revamp - it’s not only cosmetically outdated but just poorly designed, difficult to navigate, and doesn’t take advantage of the beautiful views to the lake. While it seemed the rooms had been updated as the decor was almost exactly the same as the waterfront lakeside unit, the small windows and wooden shutters were sad. The waterfront lakeside room was good - a nice happy space. I would stay there again because the pool and lake access were very good. The staff servicing the area however were ok but seemed to care very little about the grounds - I had to move other people’s garbage from the chairs in the morning - beer cans, magazines left from the day before. I would think the staff should be responsible for throwing out trash if inconsiderate guests leave it there. They were nice enough and helpful in using the boats which was a lot of fun.
