"It was a nice stay and we enjoyed the walk around the vast and lush grounds of the property. The room itself was a little dated but was otherwise well maintained, clean and comfortable. We were a little disappointed that we were charged for using the two bottles of drinking water in the mini-bar thinking that they were complimentary. Most other hotels do not charge for drinking water."

"Beautifully laid out rolling park that was all well maintained, with lots of friendly and helpful staff. Pool was great, and pump track and mini golf would have been fun too if we'd stayed a little longer. "

"A nice, historic building with friendly staff and an impeccable location. The botanic gardens adjoining are a real treasure. The food was a letdown though - high tea service was slow, we had to ask to be served after 30 minutes (even to choose tea). The sandwiches were made on stale bread. Surprisingly poor since the Verandah restaurant is highly rated. Room was well laid out and practical."
