Welcome to the Blue Ridge Hideaway at Lake Toxaway. This beautifully renovated house has room for up to 10 guests, a hot tub, a fire pit, and a ping-pong table. Enjoy amazing sunset views with the family and kids. Rest easy knowing we are baby friendly with baby gates, a travel crib, and outlet covers. Our fully fenced-in 1.5-acre property is pet friendly and has plenty of parking. Close to waterfalls, hikes, and fantastic trails. Lake Toxaway Marina is less than 5 miles away.
Lake Toxaway access via the marina, 6-person hot tub with color changing lights, lake views, walking distance from the Grand Olde Station, ping pong table, fire pit, and super fast high-speed internet connection(up to 1 GB download speed). The home also has excellent cell phone service, which tends to be sparse in the mountains of western North Carolina. Important Note: Our house is across the street from Lake Toxaway and does not have a private dock* We are one of the few pet-friendly homes in the area, and we are fully fenced in for your dog to roam. Plenty of board games and a Nintendo wii game console for indoor fun.
You can access Lake Toxaway through the Lake Toxaway Marine, approximately 4 miles away. You can rent a boat, as our guests. There are several options for renting pontoon or fishing boats. Reach out for more info on boat rentals. There are also several excellent playgrounds in the area for kiddos.

Lake Toxaway is the largest private lake in North Carolina. You get access to the lake via our home. If you want to rent a boat, you will do so under my name as a guest.
The Grand Olde Station is open for the season. Walk down to great dining and drinks!
Swim at your own risk: Guests swim, wade, boat, and otherwise utilize the lake at their own risk. You understand the use of the lake is at your own risk, and that unique risks may be involved in using the lake. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury from using the lake and hold the owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that the lake may present to children and adults who are not carefully supervised if a person has health risks, is pregnant, or is intoxicated with any drugs or medication. You agree to explain the dangers of using the lake to any guests you may have at the property and to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents your guests may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and your guest(s) for the consequences of those risks. You agree to waive any claim against the owner for accidents or claims arising from your guests' use of the lake.
There is skiing at the Sapphire Valley Ski Resort less than 20 minutes away. The Grand Olde Station restaurant located just below the property is typically open11am-9pm.
While we have access to the lake via the Toxaway marina, we don't have access to the swimming pool, tennis courts or golf course.
The driveway is gravel and is relatively steep at the top. BE SURE AND KEEP MOMENTUM WHILE DRIVING UP THE DRIVEWAY.
Landscaping: We do have a landscaping crew that comes every other week. We will do our best to communicate their schedule with our guests, but be aware that they may come while you're at the property.
Rules – Shower before entering hot tub. DO NOT SIT ON HOT TUB COVER. No food in hot tub. No persons under the age of 18 allowed in hot tub without parental supervision.
No parties.
People other than those in the Guest party set forth in the reservation may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. Guests are not allowed to exceed the occupancy limit agreed to in the reservation.
No smoking. Pets: PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE ONE OF THE FEW PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTIES IN TOXAWAY. WE REQUIRE A $150 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE. WE ALLOW MOST DOGS- BUT NO CATS. ALL DOGS MUST BE current on all shots, and on flea and tick prevention. Please pick up all droppings left by pets. No pets are allowed on furniture or beds.
Septic: The property is on a septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, guest could be charged damages of up to ___$1000.00____.
BUNK BED SAFETY WARNINGS: There are certain risks associated with using a bunk bed and bunk bed ladder, and guests agree that use is at your own risk. Property owner assumes no responsibility for personal loss, injury, or illness of any kind which may result from use of the bunk bed and ladder. The owners are not liable for any accidents occurring. Parents with children should be especially cautioned regarding ladder use and agree to accept all responsibility for minors. While not an exhaustive list of precautions, guests agree to follow these industry standards: 1) Use of top bunk is limited to occupants 6 years or older; 2) Use of top bunk is limited to 1 occupant and a maximum 175 lb weight; 3) No jumping or other horseplay on or around the bed; 4) Always use ladder for entering and leaving the upper bunk.
Fires: Please keep any fires contained to the fire pit and do not cut branches or any trees down to burn. Do not burn anywhere except in the fire pit. Please park inside fits as we share a driveway with my neighbor up until the gate.
NO LIABILITY/INDEMNIFICATION/HOLD HARMLESS: The owners of the property do not assume liability for the loss, theft, damage or injury (or death) to persons or their personal property. Guests agree to indemnify and hold the owners harmless for any liabilities, theft, damage, cost or expense whatsoever arising from or related to any claim or litigation which may arise out of or in connection with Guests’ use and occupancy of the rental property, including but not limited to claims for personal injury or property damage/loss.
