Start your day with a stunning sunrise over the lake while you enjoy your morning coffee at The Little Lake House! Sitting on the peaceful shores of Spring Lake, this cozy spot is the perfect escape for you and your family to unwind and soak up nature. We've poured a lot of love into renovating it with a modern coastal vibe and plenty of little luxuries to make it feel like a home away from home.

Welcome to The Little Lake House, a cozy 1,000 sq. ft. cabin designed for relaxing getaways! This charming retreat features two bedrooms and one bathroom, perfect for a family or small group. The primary bedroom boasts a luxurious king-sized bed, while the second bedroom has a fun single-over-double bunk bed—great for kids or extra guests. The cabin’s full kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the essentials for cooking up delicious meals. In the living room, you’ll find a comfy sectional, a cozy reading chair, and an office nook with a desktop and chair for those who need to check in with work.

The main area is flooded with natural light from large picture windows that offer stunning views of the lake. Step outside to enjoy the backyard firepit, perfect for roasting marshmallows under the stars. The property also features nearby hiking trails, ideal for nature lovers and dog walkers. With free WiFi, a Smart TV, books, and board games, there’s something for everyone to enjoy indoors, too. Plus, the cabin is stocked with crisp white bedding, fluffy towels, and bathrobes for a touch of luxury. Located just 10 minutes from Stony Plain and 30 minutes from Edmonton, this little escape offers the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• we allow ONE dog (NO cats) under 50 lbs per stay for an additional $50/stay - please disclose this upon booking so that we can have our pet amenities ready for you & charge our pet fee to cover our extra cleaning costs; a signed pet waiver will be required before your stay. No cats allowed.
• maximum 5 registered guests are allowed on the property at any time. We do not allow unregistered guests or parties of any kind.
• there is a 12km/hr speed limit on the lake and the shore has to remain natural (it has reeds & mud) to protect our wildlife
• we have a floating dock. Please be careful walking on it as it has some movement!
• you can swim, paddleboard & kayak in Spring Lake in the summer months, but with the water levels being unpredictable it can sometimes be hard to get out off the dock. The shore can be very muddy as Spring Lake maintains natural shorelines.
• we have an XL men's, L & M women's and Youth life jackets you can borrow, but please bring your own if you want to go in the water and require different sizes
• the back yard is expansive, but note that it is NOT fenced at this time
• please ensure you are monitoring pets and children at all times lakeside
• we have a security camera at the front of the property

Birdwatchers Paradise!
The cabin is cozy,very well appointed and very clean. We had a nice stay, albeit short due to illness. Don't forget your binoculars when coming here as the bird life is plentiful!! Even a muskrat lodge off to the side of the dock.

Amazing!
From start to finish, this was an amazing rental experience. The property is clean, well furnished, and has everything we were looking for. The attention to detail from the hosts is notable, as they even provided for our dog (a cozy dog bed, poop bags, dog towels, treats)! Our weekend at the little lake house was wonderful. The check in process was very smooth and the property was absolutely lovely. The cottage was so clean and inviting. Amazing picture windows views
I stayed from June 16th to June 28th by myself to visit family living close by. I took my grandson for long walks almost every day. Very safe and peaceful area. Many walking trails and constant birdsong. Absolutely loved the house, clean, classy, cozy and relaxing :-)

We enjoyed our stay at this adorable cabin! Sean and Christina were very accommodating and so welcoming! The only downside was there’s not a dock yet, so it was difficult to get onto the lake- however they made sure we knew this before we went out :)

Little Lake House is Awesome
I have to start with Christina (property owner) who was fabulous to deal with! My wife and I cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Little Lake House. Our daughter and her family visited one evening and we had hot dogs and S’mores at the fire pit down by the lake. Our grandkids loved it and want to come back to stay with us. Don’t hesitate to stay here! Everything was perfect in this Little Lake House at Spring Lake.

Perfect getaway spot
We were looking for a getaway spot not to far from the city but water front. We found this little gem and it exceeded our expectations. The only part that was a bit disappointing was the weeds along the shoreline. We were thankful that the owners put out their dock just in time for our visit. We spent many hours on the dock watching wildlife and soaking up the sun. Definitely a recommended vacation rental.

Lovely, serene, immaculate.
Sean & Christina set the standard high for top quality hosting with all the amenities one could hope for. There wasn’t a detail missing and we would most certainly recommend to others. Little Lakehouse Gem
Very easy and stress free booking through VRBO and the host. Great communication throughout and information provided was thorough and concise. Peace and Tranquility
We’ve been looking for a place to escape close to home that offers walks, nature, quiet, a view and a comfortable, cottage like atmosphere and we’ve found it! Sean and Christine’s Little Lake House is gorgeous, the decorating and ambience simply wonderful. I found myself going from room to room just enjoying the thoughtful construction, design and decorating. When we arrived they had a beautiful Christmas tree set up in the living room. They’ve thought of every element to make your stay comfortable & memorable

Little gem on the water!
A paddlers paradise! We paddled on our SUP boards during the day and our canoe in the evenings. The water is so clear once you get about 10 m from the shore. We saw all kinds of birds: ducks, geese, pelcans, cranes, even a hawk. The cottage was cozy and the couch comfy for family movie night. We had a wonderful time, would highly recommend for couples or small families. You will need to bring your own BBQ (not a problem for us, we are also tent campers).
