Quiet Country stay!
Overall a great stay! Host was responsive and very kind. Beautiful updates to kitchen. Generally clean, however fairly dusty especially in certain areas. Water pressure was only enough for 1 shower to be running (or only the washing machine, etc). Not a problem for our group but certainly a negative the more people staying. We enjoyed the quiet country atmosphere and having plenty of beds and bedrooms. The event barn on the property is also amazing and unique!

I booked this for my bridal party to stay at during the weekend of my wedding. The owner was easy to communicate with and the house was very clean but the “what we wanted” vs “what we got” was super disappointing. The listing photos make the space look much more livable than what we expierenced. The house is old. The decor was a little unusual but overall I’m just disappointed with the price. I paid just shy of $1000 for two nights expecting the pictures I saw. Unfortunately after staying I would not recommend this listing to others. This is right off the highway in an odd location and all of my friends were a little freaked out about the road not being well lit. The shower & water use is limited but there were bugs in the water jug kept for guests. The barn lights were on for our entire stay as well. The house is also FOR SURE haunted. We named the ghost Martha but it is super creepy. The lights flickered a ton and we got locked out of the back entrance after a morning walk.Overall not totatlly what I wanted for my wedding but thankful for the big space.

Great for families
Interesting old farmhouse with many rooms for spreading out. Kitchen has been updated and has a pleasant sitting room with a couch, two chairs and a small table. Beds are very comfortable! If you plan on doing lots of cooking, you may want to take your own pots and pans--not quite enough pots/skillets, and most need replacing.

Wonderful old home with modern upgrades
We enjoyed our three day stay. The house has so much charm and character. The rooms are comfy and spacious. The house is a lot larger than it appears. The location is convenient to the major sites in Toledo.

Great Place to stay for nearby wedding venue!
Beautiful fieldstone farmhouse with lots of character and charm! Plenty of room for our family of 8 to spread out! Great newly remodeled kitchen with attached sunroom made meals and gatherings enjoyable. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and well supplied with towels and paper products. Upstairs bath/shower was perfect for our smaller guests, but our family who were 5’10” and taller were more comfortable in the downstairs shower. So thankful for this beautiful place to stay for the weekend that was close to the wedding venue!

Beautiful and peaceful property on a working farm.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! A perfect getaway from the day-to-day hustle and bustle of city life. The property description was accurate. This is an old building with a lot of character and takes you back in time, but with all the modern amenities like a fully equipped modern and brand new kitchen with modern equipment and three sinks! Wifi and TV in almost every room. Plenty of crockery and cutlery and pots and pane, if you are into cooking. A lot of open space for a big family or a reunion of friends. Multiple sitting areas and a fireplace. An additional attraction for us was the farm animals, goats, lambs and chickens, and ducks. We saw a lot of deer in the fields as well. The night bonfire was simply mesmerizing and amazing. We saw a clear sky and a lot of stars and I was actually able to take some incredible pictures of stars and of the moon as well. Great host! responded immediately to all my texts and messages. I would give the property a 5-star rating and highly recommend it!

Rest, relaxation, laughs with old friends
Kim, Joe were so excellent at making us feel welcome. The house with all the antiques was cozy, inviting, including newly remodeled kitchen. Loved the sheep, goats, chickens , duck and turkey. Men of the group enjoyed stoking the logs over the fire pit. Nights were spent playing cards on the lovely dining table. Mornings with fresh coffee watching the sunrise on the deck. Kim is kind, friendly, generous . Thank you so much!!

We absolutely loved our stay. It was awesome. The kids loved all the animals, the fire pits, the house, the peace. We were in town for my mom’s celebration of life. And it was so nice to have a beautiful and quiet place to get away. We will definitely be back soon.

Wedding in Toledo
This was the second time we stayed here for weddings in Toledo, OH. Since we live in Michigan now, it is convenient to both home and the Toledo Venues. There was plenty of room for all of us and it is always nice to be able to just relax between activities. We have enjoyed out stay both times.

November on the farm
We had a great weekend at Kim’s farm. The house was very clean on our arrival, and Kim was easy to get in touch with to arrange check-in. Had a great time checking out the ducks, chickens and sheep in the barn out back. Even got to hear the rooster doing his thing in the morning. Even though this house is old, it seems to be extremely well-built - it was very quiet. So many different areas of the house to choose from to sit and relax - sunroom facing the barn, game room, fireplace room, all very comfortable. Kim stopped by to feed the animals and entertained us with some of the history of the home. Thanks Kim, we’d love to come back again!

Very secluded quiet get away. Very spacious accommodations and ample bathrooms.
The owner did beautiful work updating the farmhouse to its current state. The kitchen could use updating, but it had everything needed to make delicious meals. We walked the property and visited nearby Gust Farm for wildflower picking, cider, donuts, and pumpkins.

Perfect Get Away!
Our development team needed a place to be away from distractions and this property did just that! Great historic house with plenty of property and even some farm animals to check out. Kim was awesome as the contact person and saw to any need we had. There was a grill to bar-b-que and a nice deck for relaxing in the evening. The views were great. Deer & Turkey came into the nearby fields everyday.

We enjoyed the property. We could see lots of upkeep has been done with more on the way. Air conditioning was on. Space for each family turned out perfectly. Big table with room for 8 to 10 chairs. All enjoyed flying kites in the big yard. Plenty of outdoor seating. Farm animals to observe. If you like antique things and historical items, this is a good place for you.

Beautiful primitive home
The farm was exactly what I expected. It was so cozy and ample room for our entire family. Great location just minutes away from shopping, food, gas, and even the hospital. It is a very old house so the heating was different from room to room. The only negative I have to say is the upstairs shower doesn't work, or didn't for us. We will definitely stay again! We spent part of our stay going to local flea markets and Finds, "The Butter Barn" is a must see!! This is a perfect place and location for my family because it was halfway between Michigan family and Ohio family to meet for the holidays. This would be an amazing place to have a wedding!! They have a barn (see pics online) that is totally set up for weddings or large gatherings. Will def be back in future, thanks for sharing your lovely home with us, Merry Christmas!!

Ottawa Lake Farm house
The unique old farm house from the 1800 hundreds was wonderful. It was fun looking at the anttiques and walking on the original wood floors. It has been beautiful renovated trying to keep as much of the old original farm house. The farm house was clean and quiet. When we come back we will definitely want to stay here again.

Home was older home but nice. The home had limited lighting in the living rooms, but the sunroom was nice. The upstairs bathroom shower had no water pressure which was an issue our family.
