The Tiny Red Barn on the Reservoir - A Private Oasis Near Williamsburg Virginia

The Tiny Red Barn is a labor of love built by us for you on the Diascund Reservoir with water views, wooded trails and sunsets. We feel like we're on vacation every day of the year and look forward to sharing our 26 acres with you. Heavily wooded land with rolling trails, birds, deer, squirrels, turtles, chickens and bees. A large amount of our property sits on the Diascund Reservoir which provides a whole other side of nature.

I’m telling everyone about this cute barn! It was so relaxing and the atmosphere was just perfect for a weekend getaway! Everything is cared for. So relaxing! We stayed here and went into Williamsburg during the day - the drive was worth it.

Quiet and Comfortable Stay

We stayed at The Little Red Barn while visiting family to celebrate a sweet 16. It was very clean and welcoming. There were some nice touches like farm fresh eggs, baked cookies and it was decortated for christmas. Overall 10/10, Host were kind andand responsive

Lovely visit

We greatly enjoyed our time at the Tony Red Barn. This was a nice getaway for my spouse and I as we visited the area to spend some time in nature as well as revisit some American History. Thank you for sharing your vacation rental with us. We hope to revisit again someday.

My husband, dog, and I had the best stay at the Tiny Red Barn. This was our second stay here and we are already planning a third. Cant say enough positive things about this place and the hists themselves are amazing. I highly recommend this property!

Perfect getaway for teens and adults. House was wonderful and had everything you could need. Hosts were fantastic and gave great recommendations for local spots and a goat farm. We will definitely return again and will recommend this oasis to all!

Relaxing, peaceful retreat

This beautifully appointed little house was the perfect place for a girl's weekend. It's location on the water was so peaceful and a great place to get away from it all and relax. The owners are great to work with and very responsive.

Get away with the wife.

Beautiful property with great privacy and scenery. Extremely clean and very comfortable. Stayed for four nights with my wife and our dog while we enjoyed the area. Couldn't ask for a more perfect location. Owners were very respectful and polite. We enjoyed greeting the donkeys each morning!

We loved every minute of our stay at the tiny red barn. The barn is well decorated and enjoyed our night fire and watching Christmas movies. Just a short distance to Williamsburg. The perfect location to relax and unwind. We enjoyed the fresh cookies upon arrival and the selection of hot teas. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful property!

We loved our time at the Tiny Red Barn! The property is beautiful and the house is so cozy. We used it as a weekend getaway to Busch Gardens, so didn't spend as much time at the house as I would have liked. I guess we'll just have to come back!

Amazing property!

We loved our week long stay at the “Tiny Red Barn”! It was a great home base for everything we wanted to see and do in the Williamsburg/ Richmond areas. The property itself is wonderful, extremely clean, beds were very comfortable and so many personal touches and amenities…the cookies awaiting on our arrival were an especially nice touch. We loved the dock, and had fun with the kayaks, paddleboat etc. Virginia and Stephen are amazing hosts and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Peaceful and Relaxing Getaway

This is a quiet, and secluded property with beautiful views to enjoy while sitting outside by a fire or from the comfort of inside the home. The trails on the property are great to explore. Virginia and Steve make sure you have everything you need to make your stay perfect and relaxing. We hope to return in the Spring.

Truly a 5 star place

This is one of the best vacation homes we have stayed in. Very clean, comfortable beds, lots of thoughtful extras, and a friendly responsive host. We had fun on the trails around the property, fishing from the pier and just loving the house and natural surroundings. The location was great for getting out to local tourist stuff too. Our family had never spent any time with donkeys until we met the ones on the property. We immediately fell in love with those peaceful guys and looked forward to visiting every day. Thanks for the great stay — We are looking forward to returning!

Lovely little home

We loved the tiny red barn ! Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, and lots of sweet add-ons that made it extra special! I liked the fresh eggs and homemade soap . Enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch listening to the birds and watching squirrels play . Our stay was too short , I’d love to return and relax in the little barn .

The beautiful, restful, Tiny Red Barn

The Tiny Red Barn is such a unique, delightful, and absolutely beautiful property. The space is clean and impeccably decorated, including all of the amenities you may need during your stay. We especially enjoyed our time relaxing in the screened in porch, the game selection and game time with our kids, paddling on the reservoir, and making s’mores around the fire pit. Virginia was communicative and available at any time, but gave us our space and privacy throughout our entire stay. It was so easy to melt into relaxation at this gorgeous property and we hope to stay at the Tine Red Barn again!

We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful place! The fire pit and fishing doc were our favorites. The home is cozy with everything we needed and more! Thoughtful personal touches were appreciated. I would absolutely bring my family here again. The kids are still talking about the barn!

Absolutely beautiful!!

Everything was as described in the posting. The cookies and eggs were absolutely fabulous and I loved my "keepsake" bar of soap. The kayaks were an awesome added bonus! The reservoir was so calm. The house is so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. It was like coming home after the adventures at the theme parks. We could love 💖 to stay again in the future.

Perfect reset

This Gem was a pleasure , with such detail and a perfect weekend getaway to reset. It feel homey but away from home. The host baked cookies and left fresh eggs which was a wonderful welcome to our visit .
