Tanjung Rhu is a truly exceptional five-star resort, perfect for those who appreciate quiet, spacious surroundings, natural beauty, immaculately kept gardens, and personalized care. With views of Thailand across the Andaman Sea, ten days felt far too short. This is an expertly managed, outstanding resort, one we will undoubtedly return to. After three months of travel and work across North America and Asia, it was the perfect place to unwind. Special thanks to Hafiz and his exceptional team, whose hard work, friendliness, and professionalism made our stay truly wonderful. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Access to the beach was good and the garden was also nice. One thing I was disappointed about is the smell of the bathroom and water quality of the bathtub. The bathroom always smelled like sewage and the smell came all over the room . And the closer of water in bathtub was brown.

I highly recommend Tanjung Rhu resort, for a little slice of paradise. The lush, tranquil setting is unmatched, away from the hustle and bustle of more touristy areas of Langkawi. The outlook from the rooms and beach is simply breathtaking, overlooking a private beach on the Andaman sea, and with beautiful rugged islands just adding extra visual interest. The resort itself is wonderful, huge rooms, comfortable beds, incredible buffet breakfast, great facilities, particularly the enormous pools. It’s a 5 min walk to the jetty where fabulous mangrove boat tours of the Kilim geoforest park depart, but nestled away in its own expansive setting, so you feel exclusive and pampered. Most of all, the staff are friendly and welcoming, from the front of house staff, to the servers in the restaurants, to the staff maintaining the beautiful gardens. You should splash out and stay here, you won’t regret it.

Hotel with huge rooms
Fantastic beach front hotel, rooms were huge and well maintained, it had two pools, both of which were 40-50 meters long and very clean. The beach which this hotel is located on is very nice and quiet. Restaurants in the hotel very good also. Not much else around so you will need transport if you want to go anywhere else.

Hotel sits on the beautiful beach and almost like private beach for hotel guests. Breakfast needs to improve. Tried wonderful pizza there. Unfortunately our room lost internet access and TV program on 1st day but hotel compensated us with credit note. Overall we love the quiet accommodative experience during our stay.

This is simply an amazing resort on a stunning beach. The food was great, and pools and facilities and activities were wonderful. Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Several dining options on site, and a few things 5 min drive away on another stunning beach. Excellent sea/river activities including kayaking, boat tours, jet skis... We want to go back!!

I stayed at this resort with my family, we were wowed the minute we arrived, it’s been our favorite part of the trip. Heaven on earth stunning beach, lovely staff they can’t do enough for you and service with a smile. The only negative thing is it’s far away from everything, hire a car if it’s an issue for you, we managed with taxis. We will definitely be back.

The property was good however not maintained well. Because of the basic issues we just could not enjoy the beautiful property. The AC was leaking, bathroom was leaking and water clogging. No vegetarian food available (very limited options) with no help. Staff was rude at times. All in all very bad experience

First off, the beach and the surrounding area is stunning. Gorgeous beach and bath warm sea. The gardens of the hotel are equally beautiful and very tropical with lily ponds and amazing plants. The pizzas from the pub bar are really good. Sadly all the restaurants are still using plastic straws. Our room was really disappointing. The sofa was broken at the bottom and needed a good clean. The beds were poorly made up with the valences not fitted and hanging off as our stay progressed. There was part of the bath that just needed fitting properly. The shower pressure was non existent with the overhead shower and the tiles needed cleaning properly. When we did an under bed check before leaving there was a previous guest slipper and a ton of dust. We did ask for a room change but were told that non were available even though they were showing on booking sites 5 minutes after arrival we were hassled to book a hotel taxi back to the airport. We hadn’t even been shown to our room yet. We did a later breakfast and had no clue that there was an eggs menu as these were not placed back on the tables for later guests. It was only when I saw scrambled eggs go by that I was offered one. All in all, location and grounds are 5 star, the hotel is an average 4 star and the room condition and cleanliness is 3 star. One thing that was heartbreaking, but absolutely no fault of the hotel, is the number of plastic bottles washed up as you walk further along the beach. There were hundreds.
