"Lovely old building, great welcome from Lucy. Room was spacious with a huge comfy bed. Shower had really good pressure and gorgeous toiletries. Plenty of mirrors for getting ready along with good storage space and a good hairdryer. Breakfast was delicious and really good quality produce. Honesty bar in the lounge for those who wanted anything extra. Nice and quiet area but very close to bars, pubs, eateries - less than 5 minute walk. "Guys running it were friendly and happy to help. It is in a good location just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick. Very dog friendly and it was obvious both guys loved dogs. "Lovely place to stay for a couple of nights. Staff were very welcoming.Room was fine just a little warm so just left the widow open a little. Toilets & showers were clean. Kitchen was great. Breakfast was okay wouldve been better if the bacon / hash browns were warmer. Good for a hungry person as they give you more if you ask. Had very noisy neighbours but thats not the staffs fault just very thoughtless people that obviously thought they had the whole building to themselves."

"I was planning on camping a couple of nights near Keswick, weather not looking good for a late arrival so decided to stay at Derwentwater Hotel... so glad I did! - At check in I was greeted in a really professional manner, in the bar the staff were super friendly! That was my opening night. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, set me up fuel wise for my planned ascent of Skiddaw (walking past a farm I camped at 47 years ago on my first Scout Camp!!) My hike up Skiddaw, descending to Keswick...

"Myself and my young Cavapoo, Rose have just stayed for 2 nights. It was not in the centre of town but only a 10 min walk from the centre. The view of Latrigg from my bedroom window was amazing. Lorna is so welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. There is also all the little touches in the room like cotton pads, refreshments etc. Great for a solo traveller & her best friend. Would highly, highly recommend staying here. Thank you for such a lovely time."
