The Downtowner is a little run down and has thin walls so it can be noisy. The staff however were very professional and helpful. It's a good choice for low budgets and the location is quite convenient -- it is less than a ten minute walk to Fremont experience. There were homeless folks sleeping on nearby sidewalks but I never felt unsafe walking back to hotel alone late at night (70 F).

What a great place to stay! Welcoming hosts, clean and comfy rooms, quiet neighborhood! 2 blocks from Fremont Street, shopping, restaurants galore! Easy to find, away from all the "strip" traffic! I couldn't have made a better choice of a place to stay and I will definitely be at the Downtowner for my next visit to Vegas!!
